Askonas Holt’s Toursand Projects Department is active around the world; however it is a special pleasure to bring a series of outstanding projects to London during the course of the 2014-15 season.
The Berliner Philharmoniker celebrates Sir Simon Rattle’s 60th birthday in style with a Sibelius Symphony Cycle at the Barbican Hall as well as Mahler and Helmut Lachenmann at the Royal Festival Hall. Also joining the programme at the Southbank Centre are the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra under Gustavo Dudamel; the Philadelphia Orchestra with Yannick Nézet-Séguin; and the ever-remarkable Daniel Barenboim, who performs a Schubert Piano Sonata Cycle as well as leading his own Staatskapelle Berlin in Beethoven, Strauss and Elgar. And in a season of illustrious visitors, the New York Philharmonic also continues its Barbican residency with a diverse and intriguing offering of orchestral, theatrical and educational performances.
