In addition, a record $1.3 billion is being spent on school maintenance over four years. This is the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW. Mainsbridge School A relocation is underway for Mainsbridge School for Specific Purposes (SSP) to part of the existing Warwick Farm Public School site. The project will deliver new, purpose-built facilities that cater to the needs of the current students across primary and high school. The new facility will provide flexible learning spaces including quiet zones designed with consideration for children with specific needs, an administration and staff building, a multipurpose hall and performance stage, external play spaces, sports field, a two-storey library with multimedia areas and an indoor hydrotherapy pool. Warwick Farm Public School upgrade works Alongside the upgrade for Mainsbridge SSP, minor upgrade works will occur at Warwick Farm Public School, including a new toilet block, car park and landscaping. Warwick Farm Public School will also have shared use of the new sports field and multipurpose hall delivered as part of the Mainsbridge School project. Progress summary The construction contract has been awarded to Hutchinsons Builders. Site establishment works were completed – including installation of fencing and shade cloth, equipment delivery, preparation of play areas and site clearing. We are now working through various requirements of the Department of Planning and Environment as part of their planning approval conditions. We anticipate commencing further construction works in approximately 6 weeks.
