HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT • Built between 1843-46• by Architect Levicski• at Stary Rynok• From 1860 not only religious function but also place for public meetings• Fire destruction in 1918• In July 1941 destroyed by Nazi• Memorial Stone after Independence of Ukraine



PERCEPTION OF INHABITANTS• poor visualization of the memorial• no citizens` awareness about the history of the square• the park is in need for renovation• the current use does remember at the importance of the place
