Article 1: Allhumanbeings are born free and equal in dignity
andrights. They shouldacttowardsoneanotherinaspiritof brotherhood.
Article 2:
EveryoneisentitledtoalltherightsandfreedomssetforthinthisDeclaration,
withoutdistinction of race, colour, sex, language, religion,
political or other opinion,national or social origin,property,birth
or other status. Article 3: Everyone has the right to life,liberty
and security of person. Article 4: Nooneshallbeheldinslavery or
servitude;slavery andtheslave tradeshallbe prohibitedin all their
forms. Article 5: Nooneshallbesubjectedto tortureor
tocruel,inhumanor degradingtreatment or punishment. Article 7:
Allareequalbeforethelawandareentitledtoequal protectionofthelaw.
Article 9: No one shallbe subjected to arbitrary arrest,detention
or exile. Article 10:
Everyoneisentitledtoafairandpublichearingbyanindependent
andimpartialtribunal. Article 11: Everyone charged with a penal
offence hasthe rightto be presumed innocent untilproved guilty.
Article 12: Nooneshallbesubjectedtoarbitrary interference
withhisprivacy,family,home or correspondence,nor to
attacksuponhishonour andreputation. Article 13 paragraph 1:
Everyonehastherighttofreedomofmovementandresidencewithinthe borders
of eachState. Article 13 paragraph 2:
Everyonehastherighttoleaveanycountry, including hisown,andto return
to his country. Article 14: Everyonehas theright to seek andto
enjoy inother countries asylumfrom persecution. Article 15:
Everyone has the right to anationality. Article 16 paragraph 1: Men
and women of full age, without any limitation due to race,
nationality or religion, havetheright tomarry andtofounda family.
Article 16 paragraph 3: Thefamilyisthenaturalgroupunitofsocietyand
is entitled to protectionby society and the State. Article 17:
Everyonehas theright to ownproperty alone as
wellasinassociationwith others. Everyone has the right to freedom
of thought, conscience and religion.
Article 18: Everyonehastheright tofreedomof
thought,conscienceandreligion. Article 19:
Everyonehastherighttofreedomof opinionandexpression. Article 20:
Everyone has the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and
association. Article 21 paragraph 1: Everyone hasthe righttotake
part in the governmentofhiscountry, directly or through freely
chosenrepresentatives. Article 21 paragraph 1:
Everyonehastherighttoequalaccesstopublicserviceinhiscountry.
Article 21 paragraph 3: The will of thepeople shallbe thebasisof
the authority of government. Article 23 paragraph 1:
Everyonehastherighttowork,tofreechoiceofemployment and to
protection against unemployment. Article 23 paragraphs 2 and
3:
Everyone hastherighttoequalpayforequal work.Everyonewhoworks
hastherighttojustandfavourableremuneration
ensuringforhimselfandhisfamilyanexistenceworthyofhumandignity and
supplemented,if necessary,by other means of social protection.
Article 25 paragraph 1:
Everyonehastherighttoastandardoflivingadequatefor thehealthand
well-being. Article 25 paragraph 2: All
children,whetherborninoroutofwedlock,shallenjoythesamesocial
protection. Article 26 paragraph 1: Everyonehas theright to
education. Educationshallbe free,atleastinthe elementary
andfundamentalstages. Article 26 paragraph 2: Education shall
promote understanding, tolerance and friendship
amongallnations,racial or religious groups. Article 29 paragraph 1:
Everyone has duties to the community in which alone the free and
full development of his personality is possible. Article 29
paragraph 2: In the exercise of his rights and freedoms, everyone
shall be subject only to limitations determinated by law for
securing the general welfare in a democratic society. Article 29
paragraph 3: These rights and freedoms may in no case be exercised
contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations.
