Volume 1, Issue 7

The month of June is filled with celebraons, and it’s hard to believe that my husbandand I will be celebrang our one-year anniversary this month. It seems like yesterday thatKevin and I were being married. Because June is one of the most popular months thatcouples get married, this month’s feature, “Successful Marriages: What Does It Take?,” ismely. We interviewed local religious leaders and asked them what advice they provideto couples who are geng married. Whether you are newly married, have been marriedfor years, or are in a new relaonship, advice provided by these local religious leaders willprove helpful and serve as a reminder that relaonships are work. My husband and I aregoing on being together for eight years, and I think we’re happier now than ever. It’sbeen work, but we are in love with each other, and sll share the giddiness of young love.Commitment, respect, and communicaon have played a large role in our developmentas a couple. I look at couples in our community who have been married for 70+ years, such as the Tournament of Roses winners that we featured last year and this year, and amcompletely inspired. To think, Kevin and I only have been together for 10% of that long! The future is excing, and Kevin and I really have only begun our journey together.

To go along with this month’s theme on celebraons, we featured one of the youngestand oldest members of our community on the front cover; these are the winners of ourcover contest. You can read more about these winners on page 14. This cover featureserves to show us that life is a journey. New births remind us of our innocence and wherewe started. Longevity reminds us of the history we create with each new day and thelegacy that we leave to future generaons.

Speaking of future generaons, we thoroughly enjoyed coordinang this month’s feature,“Fathers’ Le⁺ ers to their Children.” Local fathers took the opportunity to share thoughtsof wisdom and love with their children, and our community’s future generaon. Having astrong bond with my dad, these le⁺ ers were especially touching to me. I think it showsgreat courage that these fathers featured not only chose to write their child/children ale⁺ er, but also to share it with the community. It’s my hope that other fathers in ourcommunity will be inspired to write their children a le⁺ er this year in celebraon ofFather’s Day. Who knows, maybe you will be inspired to start a family tradion whereeach year on Father’s Day, you write your child a le⁺ er. If saved, those le⁺ ers can bepassed down to your children’s children; a legacy will be created.

June is a month of celebraons, and I hope you find many things this month to rejoice!

Sincerley,

Jennifer Bucholtz

Pathfinder of the Month: Leading the Youth through Little League.

Around Town – Warner Robins/Perrymagazine wishes to congratulate thismonth’s pathfinder, Ken Hathaway, for hisdedicaon to serving the community.Ken currently is president for the WarnerRobins Lile League (WRALL) and saysthe program serves the community inmany ways. “For me, it’s a wonderfulprogram for the kids – it’s just anawesome environment to bring kidsinto,” says Ken. The WRALL programassists youth in developing the qualiesof cizenship, discipline, teamwork, andphysical well-being. By espousing thevirtues of character, courage, and loyalty, the Lile League Baseball and Soballprograms are designed to developsuperior cizens rather than superiorathletes.

Every year, a general elecon is heldwhere parents and Lile Leaguemembers vote on a board comprised of15 people. Those members then vote ina board of directors, and the electedboard votes individuals into variousposions. Ken was voted in as the 2009president, but has managed and coachedfor a number of years.

Ken, who is originally from NorthCarolina, moved to Warner Robins 23years ago with Robins Air Force Base.Aer 10 years with the military, Kenjoined the Georgia Air Naonal Guard, where he currently is employed. “Themilitary and the guard, they really insllthat [it’s important] what you do for thecountry, but it’s important what you doat home and what you are giving backthe community,” says Ken. “Peoplealways wonder, what’s this country goingto be like in the next ten years, and I tellpeople all the me, ‘You need to look atthe children that are growing up.’ It givesme a lot of confidence to see the numberof truly great kids that come through ourprogram.” Ken remarks that witnessingthe number of parents who are having aposive impact on their children byencouraging them in enriching acviesis empowering on many levels.

Ken’s background of work experience hastaught him that serving the community isabout improving it. “You know you’rementoring these kids to become the nextleaders here in the city, in the state, orwherever,” says Ken. So when his firstson, Cal, began to play ball, Ken decidedto become involved. “Since 1990, I’vebeen with Lile League when our oldestson began to play ball,” says Ken, “… atthat me, they were sll playing at theold field.” Today, the Lile Leagueconnues to significantly impact theWarner Robins community. Recently,Warner Robins was selected to becomethe headquarters for the Southeastdivision of Lile League. Ken is excitedabout the opportunity this will offer.“The groundbreaking has already takenplace and, hopefully, by the me theyhave the first tournament, thattournament will be played here in 2010,”says Ken. The new facility will be locatednear Cohen Walker off Snellgrove Drive.

Volunteering with the Warner RobinsLile League has allowed Ken the

opportunity to teach important lifelessons. “You know, everybody likes towin, but, you have to learn how to dealwith losing, too,” says Ken. “We teachthe kids, ‘you may have lost the game, but you know what? We’re going to goback and work a lile harder andpracce, and we’ll get be⁺ er and try towin this. We teach kids – don’t give up,because you can win the game. You justkeep trying.” Ken adds that, as a parent, dealing with losing is an important lessonto teach kids. As a child, Ken playedbaseball and learned the importantlesson of not giving up when a teamloses.

Ken says volunteering also has made himappreciate the me he has spent with hischildren. “My oldest son will graduatethis year and he’ll be going off to college, and I am so thankful for the memoriesthat we’ve had being able to spend thatme together. This year, I am presidentof the league, but in all prior years, I wasable to coach my children,” says Ken.Besides funconing as president thisyear, Ken’s youngest son, Blake is in hislast year with the Lile League. Withthree sons, Ken says he is looking forwardto being able to talk about the me thefamily spent together on the field.

“When parents do volunteer work, theyneed to make sure they include theirchildren and explain to the children whatthey’re doing,” says Ken, “because asyour children grow, they need to have anunderstanding and they need to have asense of responsibility as they get older;where they ask themselves, ‘What can Ido to help my community; to help mytown; to help my state?’ And you’reteaching them that every me you dosomething, you don’t have to get paid forit; you volunteer because you see aneed.”

Fathers’ Letters to their Children>> Local fathers celebrate Father’s Day as an opportunity to share

wisdom and love with their children

Dear Sydney and Jonathan,

As Father’s Day approaches, my mind is flooded withmemories of your younger years, and I am thinkingof the joy that the two of you have brought to yourmother and me. As you are entering your teenyears, you’ve realized that your parents aren’tperfect; Mom and I are sll learning! Nonetheless, there are some important lessons that I’m learningalong the way that I’d like to share with you.

First and foremost, passionately pursue God’s planand purpose for your life. As He reveals His plans toyou, dive into them headfirst! Dream big dreamsand ask Him for a bold vision, then pursue thosedreams, ignoring the distracons that will arise. Tryto get to the end of your me on earth with noregrets on this maer. No amount of money canpurchase peace of mind, a clear conscience, or rest.Remember that true peace can only come fromknowing that you are in the center of God’s plan foryour life.

Don’t let the expectaons of friends or the pressures of the world shape you. Instead, pursue knowledge and pray for wisdom; allow them to be your teachers. Next, live atpeace with others, but don’t compromise on the non-negoable maers. Those aroundyou will respect you for remaining true to yourself and to your values. Defend what isright, and oppose what is wrong. Realize that you will make mistakes and bad decisionsalong the way. When you do, clean up the mess you’ve made; seek pardon; learn fromthe mistake; and move on.

You will witness and experience suffering. Remember that the scriptures illustrate thatsuffering affects everyone. Don’t spend too much me and energy trying to understandthe causes or purposes of suffering, but instead, look for the workings of God and thegoodness of others in the midst of suffering. Do what you can to ease the pain that otherpeople are experiencing.

Remember that everyone has value and is made in God’s image. Even those that theworld considers “unimportant” (there is no such thing, by the way) have dreams and adesire to be loved and understood. I’ve finally begun to understand that people oentreat others in the same way that they think they have been treated. If you aremistreated by someone, think first about what you might do to ease their pain.

I want you both to understand that these are not just loy ideals, but solid precepts uponwhich you can connue to build your lives. The areas that I’ve addressed are those whereI have struggled and failed most oen. As your father, my pledge is to connue to growand be challenged just as I am challenging you today.

With the greatest love,

Dad

My Dearest Fran,

What a joy you have been to your mother and me asyou have grown to maturity. Your dedicaon to yourstudies in school and college have reassured us that thevalues we tried to teach you as a young person did, infact, help mold you into the wonderful person you havebecome.

As you connue through life, let me once again share anidea or two with you that I think will provide a basis fora happy life, I think it was President George H. W. Bushwho said that, “Any measure of a successful life mustinclude service to others.” I would hope and pray thatyou would use the wonderful talents that God hasbestowed on you, especially your music and wring, tohelp enhance the quality of life for those in yourcommunity. Connue to let God guide you and yourfamily and keep love in your heart; mercy in youracons; paence in dealing with others; kindness tothose around you; and top it all with a measure offorgiveness for those who may have hurt you in someway.

As I have watched you grow and mature, you have beenan inspiraon to me. I have no doubt that as youconnue life’s journey, others will be influenced by youracons.

With all my love,

Dad

“Any measure of a successful life

President George H. W. Bush

History of Father’s DayThe first Father’s Day celebraon was held in Fairmont,West Virginia on July 5, 1908. A member of WilliamMemorial Methodist Episcopal Church South, GraceGolden Clayton, suggested commemorang fathers, aer an explosion took place nearby, killing over 300men. The following year, Sonora Smart Dodd decidedto honor her father, William Jackson Smart, a Civil WarVeteran, aer being inspired by Mother’s Day. Because

her father’s birthday was in June, Sonora worked hardto instute Father’s Day during that month. Manyyears later in 1966, President Johnson designated thethird Sunday in June, but the holiday was only officiallyrecognized naonally by President Nixon in 1972.Earlier presidents including President WoodrowWilson (1916) and President Calvin Coolidge (1924)approved of the idea of Father’s Day. Sonora washonored for her contribuon to the naonal holiday in1974. She died in 1978 at the age of 96.

Successful Marriages: What Does It Take?>> Religious Leaders Weigh In

he month of June is filled withcelebraons, which is whyAround Town – WarnerRobins/Perry magazine has

chosen to celebrate life’s preciousmoments with the Middle Georgiacommunity. Students are enjoying much-needed vacaons; families are honoringfathers; and couples are in the midst ofplanning their weddings. To help coupleswho are considering this important step,Around Town decided to ask religiousleaders what they discuss during pre-marital counseling sessions.

CommunicationThere was a couple who was on a Dr. Philshow recently. They were young and hadgo⁺ en married aer one year of dang.Within months, conflict emerged. Thewife had no idea her husband likedhockey; nor the names of his closestfriends; or what his future goals were. The husband, on the other hand, wastroubled by his wife’s demands that hehelp out around the house on a dailybasis; he did not know his wife’s secondname; and had no clue who her closefriends were. Although this soundsextreme, religious leaders in MiddleGeorgia say communicaon barriers arecommon with couples they meet for pre-marital counseling.

Jim Cowart is the senior pastor at HarvestChurch in Byron. He says that marriage isa huge and important event that shouldnot be taken lightly. “We all are coming tothis event with past history, pastexperiences, past expectaons,” saysPastor Jim. These expectaons oen giverise to conflict when both the wife andhusband expect one another to “guess” or“know” what to do under mostcircumstances. This is because many of uscome to the table with pre-conceivedideas and do lile to express them.

Kenny Rodgers is the pastor of First BapstChurch in Bonaire and says he always isamazed at the lack of communicaonbetween couples. “People just don’tcommunicate well,” says Pastor Kenny.“They’ll say things and get in fights andnot know what the real issue is. Whichagain, pre-marital counseling helps people

idenfy the need for communicaon andthe need for commitment.” According tomany lead marriage counselors, at leasthalf of all marriage breakdowns arecaused by faulty communicaon betweenspouses. “…get the spoken expectaonsand, most importantly, the unspokenexpectaons of marriage out on thetable,” says Pastor Jim, “and then you cankind of negoate. It’s not even that oneperson is right or wrong, it’s just thatwe’re different.”

CommitmentCommitment is so important to asuccessful marriage that many say withoutit, marriages are doomed. Pastor ofEvergreen Family Fellowship Church, JoeSenter, says commitment is the mostpowerful foundaon for a successfulmarriage. “People tend to get married forwhat they plan to get out of it,” saysPastor Joe. “What’s in it for me? How’s itgoing to help me? Whereas the kind ofrelaonship that marriage requires is forthat person to come to that relaonshipwith – what can I give to it, instead ofbeing so selfish.” The kind of love couplesare required to have goes beyond physicala⁺ racon, according to many religiousleaders. Commitment is what holds themarriage together when everything elseseems to fade away.

“Commitment is so important,” saysPastor Kenny. “that [it] is the number onething I stress in pre-marital counseling.”Pastor Kenny uses C.S. Lewis’ book onmarriage. One chapter talks aboutChrisan marriages and delves into theissue of commitment versus falling in love.“I try to get [couples] to understand thatthe original, emoonal state that they gothrough of being in love, will eventuallygive way,” says Pastor Kenny. According tomarriage experts, entering into marriageis a partnership that should be viewedsimilar to a social contract. And whencouples face major life changes, such asjob loss, children, or the death of a parentor child, a marital commitment helps tosustain the relaonship more so thanemoon many mes.

FinancesMany couples spend me worrying about

money without communicang effecvelyabout it. Instead of being strategic andopen, most couples approach the topicwith strong emoons that give rise toresentment and bierness. ReverendDavid Bernthal is the pastor of ChristLutheran Church in Perry. He advisescouples to meet with him for at least twosessions, and says finance is one of thebiggest issues discussed. “Unfortunately,I’ve seen many years of post-maritalcounseling and divorce counseling inmarriages, where there’s a big issue… theyreally don’t know, not how to managemoney, but how to discuss the financialaspect of marriage,” says Reverend David. Communicang about finances is key, butmarriage experts suggest couplesapproach their finances similar to runninga business. Reverend Bernthal suggestscouples sit down and decide what willwork for them. And Pastor Jim suggestscouples devise a realisc budget andulize financial courses that are availablein the community to help them in theprocess. The underlying lesson is thatapproaching finances from an “us”perspecve will enhance a couples’ senseof partnership and avoid uncertainty andfrustraon between both pares.

Spiritual BasisStascs on couples who a⁺ end religiousservices stay married even longer thancouples who do not. “The spiritual basisof marriage, based on Genesis 2: 24,where God instutes marriage between aman and a woman, is first and foremost, aspiritual union,” says Reverend Bernthal. That spiritual union also is ed to themore praccal side of marriage, includingsexual a⁺ racon and physical inmacy, which Reverend Bernthal says the ApostlePaul speaks about in the new testament ofthe Bible.

Religious leaders encourage couples toopenly discuss their beliefs with eachother prior to marriage. Pastor Joe sayswhen couples experience difficult mes intheir marriage, a strong spiritualfoundaon will help them focus and copebe⁺ er. He concludes, “We do menonthat pressures will come along and wealways encourage people to put theirstrength and faith in God.”

It seems everywhere I go people aretalking about tough mes. How aboutyou? Are you living in a tough place orfeeling overwhelmed? For me, I drawcomfort and perspecve from thebible. In the middle of the f amous‘Psalm 23’ text is a sentence that bringsme great comfort: “God is with meeven when I am in a difficult chapt er oflife.” Psalms 23:4: "Yea, though I walkthrough the valley of the shadow ofdeath, I will fear no evil: for thou artwith me; thy rod and thy staff theycomfort me."

Valleys are inevitable. Life is a mixtureof pain and pleasure; of victory anddefeat; of success and failure; and of

mountain tops and valleys. It's not a ma⁺ er of if, it's when. It'sgoing to happen. You're going to have difficulty, disappointment, and discouragement in life. There will be mesof suffering, sorrow, and sickness. There will be mes offrustraon, failure, and fague. They are a normal part of life.Don't be surprised by it.

Valleys are always unexpected. They usually come at the worstme – when you don't have me; when you're unprepared.

Valleys are imparal. No one is immune to them. No one isinsulated from pain and sorrow. No one gets to skate throughlife problem-free. Everybody has problems – good people andbad people. Problems, trials, difficules, disturbances, downmes, and depression do not mean you're a bad person. It means you're a person. The Bible is very clear that goodthings happen to bad people, and somemes bad things happento good people. When we go through a difficult me – a valleyin life – the first reacon always is, "Why me?" Yet really youshould ask, "Why not me?"

Valleys are temporary. "Even though I walk through thevalley..."

They have an end to them. They don't last. They are not apermanent locaon. It's something you go through – acircumstance; a situaon that has a season to it. When you'rein a valley, you oen think it's a dead end, but it's not.

Valleys have a purpose. God wants to build your character. He isfar more interested in your character than He is in your comfortor your convenience. God's goal in life is not to just make lifecomfortable for you. He wants to build character.

Yes, I am a pastor, but that does not exempt me from ugly andembarrassing chapters of life. With that said, all my comfortand hope in my life rests in my TRUST in God. What about you?

Andy King is campus pastor at Christ Chapel in Warner Robins. He hasbeen married to his wife for 23 years, and they have three children.

IN A TOUGH PLACE?by Andy King

Every day, I throw my standardqueson of “how ya doing?” Theresponses are varied, but by probing alile further and hearing the diagnosisof companies, I have found a commontheme of companies that are going toweather this economic storm. They allhave strengths in what I have coined“the Business Three-Legged Stool.” Ifone is not strong or lacking, thecompany, like a stool, will be wobbly.

The three generic legs of this stool arehaving strength in product execuonand operaons (the right stuff);administrave and financial controls(feedback system); and financialbacking (having a war chest). Havingthe right product or service with the

mastery of it, whether it is a hot dog w agon or servicing autos, you have to know how to sell and deliver the product. The nextleg is proving you made a profit on the first leg, not just seeingif the bank account is sll in the posive (this happens morethan I like to admit), while complying laws and regulaons bybeing sure the insurance and payroll taxes are current. The warchest can be having a limited amount in the company bankaccount, but by being personally or business debt free.

Some real examples include: • My favorite recession proof client is a business that will growwith the aging of America. He has procedures in place to takeorders; delivers as scheduled; qualifies customers for payment;recently had training from his outside accountant to look closerat his monthly reports for key indicators of profit; and has asufficient Line of Credit secured by personal and businessassets.

• A friend and former controller wanted to buy a business, butneeded to rely on finding an ex-branch manager for dailyoperaons. He knows administraon, but lacks enough assetsto acquire it. He is in neg oaons for the purchase of asmaller, less technical business where he could wear theoperaons and administrave hats that his accumulated assetscould support.

• A successful business joined a start-up company with a greatproduct line that had a very rocky start. The company gotsignificant funding the second year, but sll struggled. Thesuccessful business owner, aer seeing lile results, put hisadministrave infrastructure into place and the start-up turnedaround in less than a year, despite the current economy.

This is only a small sample of wha t I see. Unfortunately, a largepercentage of banking inquiries are lacking one of the threelegs. Think about your business, and in generic terms think if ithas the three legs to survive. Then ask someone outside y ourcompany like your banker and accountant if they agree.

DR. CYNTHIA HAMMOND: STATE’SOUTSTANDING ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

by Dr. Jolie D. Hardin

I recently a⁺ ended a health andfitness expo for one of middleGeorgia’s largest employers. Anemployee approached me and statedthat he was interested in a GPS watchthat he saw in one of my stores. Hesaid that he had checked the internetto see if he could get the watch for acheaper price. He seemed surprisedthat the price in my store was thesame as the lowest price that he couldfind on the internet. He thenexclaimed, “But, I can’t see paying $28in sales tax. So, I’m just going to buy itonline.”

In this global economy, this atude isspreading like a virus and is

detrimental to the future of local economies throughout thenaon. In the name of low prices, we see our downtown areasreduced to ghost towns; our jobs shipped oversees; and oureconomy in shambles.

When a customer spends money at a locally-owned business, the majority of the money stays in the local economy and isspread around to other businesses and individuals. Loc albusiness owners and employees spend this money at localrestaurants and grocery stores; at their local automove servicestores; on landscaping and upkeep for their houses; for medicaland dental services; for accounng and a⁺ orney services; andfor local adversing in publicaons like the one you are holding.

In contrast, when money is spent at the mega-stores and atonline retailers, the majority of the money disappears from thelocal economy. Ironically, the money spent at a certain largediscount retailer that caters to low-income people is sent toanother state where it increases the wealth of the richestfamily in the naon. Shopping with online retailers not onlysiphons money from the local economy, but the resulng lossof sales tax revenue has crippled our state to the point thatlawmakers are discussing laying off our teachers.

The mindset is that small local businesses charge higher pricesfor their goods and services than the mega-stores. This is nolonger the case with the majority of successful smallbusinesses. In order to survive against the large discountstores, small businesses now match or beat the prices of thelarge businesses and offer superior customer service as anadded bonus. They offer advice and knowledge about productsand services that cannot be matched at large stores.

Ask any economist, and they will tell you that small businessesare the engine of our economy. So, give your locally-ownedbusinesses a chance. Not only will the y appreciate yourpatronage, but you will be helping bolster the local economy.Who knows? The job that you help save may be your own.

Summer is here. Are you bathing suitready? The good news is there are 12weeks in summer, and that is justenough me to start looking andfeeling great!

So how do you get your body tochange? You have to li enough weightto build muscle to increase yourmetabolism; fuel your body withhealthy food; and turn your body into afat burning machine.

LIFT ENOUGH WEIGHT. Most womendon't know what their bodies arecapable of and tend not to pushthemselves hard enough. I see womenin the gym liing very light weights thatare worried they are going to get "big

and bulky" or look masculine. Women should do a full body, metabolically demanding program in which they alternatebetween an upper body compound movement, such as push-upsor chin-ups, with a lower body compound movement such aslunges or a squats. Keep the rest periods short and use achallenging weight. Do 3 – 4 pairs of exercises 2 – 4 days a weekfor no more than an hour at a me.

BECOME A FAT BURNING MACHINE. Stop pounding your bodywith hours of cardio! Boost the intensity of your cardio workoutsessions and drop the duraon. Perform an interval styleworkout for no more that 30 minutes.

FUEL YOUR BODY WITH HEALTHY FOOD. Please don't starveyourself to look good this summer. It never works, and it willbackfire on you; besides that, it's not much fun. Do fuel yourbody with healthy opons. Eat breakfast and drink plenty ofwater! Add in fruits, vegetables, and lean protein with everymeal. Switch to low-fat dairy products; increase fiber intake byeang whole grain bread and cereals and brown rice. Eat 5 – 6small meals a day every 3 – 4 hours to keep your metabolismfired up! When you focus on adding in healthy foods, you won'thave room for the extra empty calories and you will naturallyincrease your energy level.

There is a NO list. Just say No to fried food, high fructose cornsyrup, high fat cream sauces and soups, alcohol, and simplecarbohydrates, which are found in fruit juices, candy, cookies, cakes, and sugary drinks and desserts.

All this being said, you must find your WHY! You must have a bigenough reason to want to reach your goal. Don’t focus on thescale weight. Instead, focus on how your clothes fit; how youlook in the mirror; and your energy level. When you commit to ahealthier lifestyle, you can be your best. I believe in you!Together, let’s get you bathing suit ready!

When was the last me you took agood look at the exterior of yourhouse? Does your home have thesame appearance you fell in love withwhen you first moved in? Does it sllreflect your style? Is it in need ofrepair?

If you don’t like the answers to thesequesons, it’s likely me for you toconsider enhancing your home’s curbappeal with an exterior faceli.

What is an exterior facelift? An exterior faceli is a homeimprovement project done to enhancethe curb appeal of your house. It canbe one of the most dramac projectsthat you can undertake, and possibly

the one you will treasure the most. Surprisingly, a faceli canoen be done with a few simple changes. These changes canrange from the addion of exterior accessories such as shuersor columns to updated entry doors, garage doors, or windows.Striking changes to your home’s appearance also can beaccomplished through a change in the style of your roofing orsiding. There currently are many siding opons available, ranging from tradional horizontal or vercal siding todecorave opons such as shingles, shakes, or stone. You evencan replace stucco using these modern siding materials.

Why do an exterior facelift? In addion to improving your home’s curb appeal, an exteriorfaceli may improve property value, energy efficiency, maintenance requirements, and even minimize future repairprojects when you use no-rot materials such as PVC, vinyl, fibercement, or stone. It also will provide you with a feeling of prideof ownership and personal enjoyment.

How to start your exterior facelift? To get ideas on how you want your home to look, you may wantto look around your neighborhood or similar subdivisions;review home magazines; or ask a trusted friend or professionalto look around your home, using a crical eye for areas that areready for an update.

Then, contact an expert in the process. For substanal changes, you might consider using a contractor who can provide a digitalimage preview or a design rendering of the finished project. Aswith all projects, it is important to pick your contractor carefully.Consider references, concise proposals, material andworkmanship warranes, and be very cauous of a contractorthat requires substanal up-front costs.
