Many thanks to The
Luther’s for using us
AGAIN to buy their home.
Easter bonnets, Easter baskets, chocolate bunnies
and jelly beans help us celebrate Easter. But there is
nothing like hunting for Easter eggs. Check out
http://www.orangecounty.net/html/Weekend_events
Easter.html for cities in the area
offering community Easter egg
hunts for kids of varying ages.
Or, have a hunt at home in your
backyard. Be sure to count how
many eggs you hide and how
many are recovered. Plastic
eggs work best outside in case
some are forgotten. Real hard
boiled eggs are fine outdoors as long as they have
been refrigerated overnight before they are hidden.
To dye the perfect egg, fill a mug with 1/2 - 1 cup of
boiling water mixed with one tablespoon white wine
vinegar and 10-20 drops of food coloring (depending
on how bold you want the color to be). Then dip a
hard boiled egg in the cup. The longer the egg stays
in the dye the bolder the color. Carpe Diem! Have
fun hiding and hunting for eggs and leave the real
estate sales to us.
Composting Start with a bottomless
wood, plastic or metal
container that holds about 80
gallons. Place it on the
ground in a shady area of the
yard. In the kitchen keep a plastic container with a lid
for catching compostables while you cook. Fruit peels,
coffee grounds and filters, egg shells and left over
vegetables are fine in the compost; as well as organic
matter like: newspapers, grass cuttings, dead leaves,
paper plates. Stay away from meats, cheese or
cooking oil as they attract pests. Try to maintain a
3-to-1 ratio of dry to wet. It should be damp, so if it
gets dry spritz the pile with water. In 4-6 months you’ll
have nourishment for your grass and garden.

Spring Cleaning is a
task that needs to be done
annually. Here are a few tips
to make the job easier:
Sliding door tracks - Use an all purpose cleaner, spray
the tracks generously and let
it sit for a few minutes. Wipe
loosened grime with a paper
towel. Use a flat screw driver
wrapped in a cloth to get into
tight crevices. Finish by
spraying WD-40 for a
smoother glide.

Easter!

let it sit for 1 hour, then flush
with hot water. To keep
blades sharp and to combat
odors, freeze 1/2 cup white
wine vinegar mixed with
water in ice cube trays. Toss
in a few cubes and run the
disposal. To break up grease
deposits that collect, feed
the disposal a small fruit pit
or chicken bone now and
then.
Doorknobs - Not limited to
spring cleaning; weekly
cleaning with antibacterial
wipes are the best way to
de-germ and prevent the
spread of bacteria.
All I need to know… I learned from the Easter Bunny
Don't put all your eggs in one basket.
Everyone needs a friend who is all ears.
There's no such thing as too much candy.
All work and no play can make you a basket case.
A cute tail attracts a lot of attention.
Everyone is entitled to a bad hare day.
Let happy thoughts multiply like rabbits.
Some body parts should be floppy.
Keep your paws off of other people's jelly beans.
The grass is always greener in someone else's basket.
To show your true colors, you have to come out of
the shell.
Cat’s Corner
Garbage Disposal - Pour in
3 tablespoons of Borax and
Lampshades - Run a lint
roller over the inner and
outer surfaces. Then blow
dust from the seams with a
hair dryer or can of
compressed air.
Air conditioner - Unscrew
the vent covers and clean
the slats on both sides with
a damp cloth.
Never mind...
cleaning the dishwasher
or freezer unless you detect a bad odor.
Air ducts and chimneys
are best cleaned by a
professional. Call our
office for a referral.
Oh the weather outside...
