Three aspiring young bowlers from CCS have successfully rolled their
way to the State Finals to be held in Dubbo in Term 3.

Collection of Data – School Students with Disability
WHAT IS THE NATIONAL DATA COLLECTION?
The Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (the
national data collection) is an annual collection that counts the number of school students with disability and the level of reasonable educational adjustment they are provided with.
The national data collection counts students who have been identified by a school team as receiving an adjustment to address a disability under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (the DDA). The DDA can be accessed from the ComLaw website at www.comlaw.gov.au.
What is the benefit for my child?
The aim of the national data collection is to collect quality information about school students with disability in Australia.
This information will help teachers, principals, education authorities and families to better support students with disability to take part in school on the same basis as students without disability.
The national data collection is an opportunity for schools to review their learning and support systems and processes to continually improve education outcomes for their students with disability. WHY IS THIS DATA BEING COLLECTED?
All schools across Australia collect information about students with disability. But the type of information currently collected varies between each state and
territory and across government, Catholic and independent school sectors.
When undertaking the national data collection, every school in Australia will use the same method to collect information. Therefore, a government school in suburban Sydney will collect and submit data in the same way as a Catholic school in country Victoria and an independent school in the Northern Territory.
The information provided through the national data collection will enable all Australian governments to improve target support and resources to benefit students with disability.
What information will be collected?
Every year your child’s school will collect the following information for each student with a disability: the student’s level of education (i.e. primary or
secondary) the student’s level of adjustment the student’s broad type of disability.
The information collected by schools will be provided to all governments to inform policy and programme improvement for students with disability.
How will my child’s privacy be protected?
Protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all students and their families is essential. Personal details such as student names or other identifying information will not be provided to local or federal education authorities.

Welcome to Week 8A.
Congratulations to all those students who successfully competed at the North West Cross Country on Friday. It was a great day with spectacular weather and our students produced some excellent results.
A big thankyou to the Coolah Central School teaching and administration staff who organised and ran the event so smoothly. Thankyou also to the P+C and parent volunteers who ran the canteen, BBQ and coffee van and to the community volunteers who helped at checkpoints. The day would not be as successful without the valuable contributions of all those in the community who helped out.
Last week also saw Senior Students and staff take part in HSC Study Days at Dubbo. These days allow students to gain a greater understanding and improved perspective of the specific Higher School Certificate
requirements for individual subjects. Students were able to improve their knowledge about study skills and examination preparation techniques and they were able to view work samples giving them an understanding about what is required to achieve high marks.

K—6 News Congratulations to all of our Cross Country competitors, who competed at the North West Cross Country carnival on Friday. There are now 8 students who have qualified in the Primary Division for the State Carnival which will be held next Term. A huge thank you also to all volunteers who helped out on the day, these events are not possible without our very dedicated volunteers. This Friday will be our annual Athletics Carnival. A reminder for all students to bring a hat, drink and warm clothes in house colours. A canteen will be operating on the day. If you are 8 years old or above you will be required to go straight to Bowen Oval in the morning. Kindergarten, Year 1 and other students who are not turning 8 this year will come to school and will walk over to Bowen Oval with Mrs Simmons and Mrs Esdaile. Year 6 were given an assessment task last week to work on at home as part of our Geography Unit. The ‘Cultural Diversity’ Assignment is due next Friday 29th June.

we have been analysing the work of
Henry Lawson and Banjo Patterson. The
assessment for this topic is to represent
understanding of a Bush Poem through
a Multimodal Text . This task has allowed
the students to creatively express
themselves across a range of media. In
addition, the task also helps to prepare

North West Cross Country - Thank you, thank you, to all our volunteers who helped make Coolah’s running of the North West Regional Cross Country a huge success.
It is amazing how many visitors comment on what a fantastic event we run and how amazing it is that the whole community is involved and encourages the hosting.
This year I think we have a record number of students through to the All Schools State Cross Country to be held at Eastern Creek on the first Friday back next term.
Mrs Wilson, Miss McDonald and I look forward to watching the following students run in Sydney: Amber, Annabelle, Hamish, Isaac, Tia, Sophia, Lachlan, Sophie, Fabian, Caitlin, Hugh & Brandy.
