Diagram of level of intricacy at Alhumbra, the case study.

“Not only is shopping melting into everything, but everything is melt-ing into shopping.” The challenge for the studio is to design environ-ments in the form of shopping complexes of complete experience un-derground. Through a series of case study, The Capriccio, Experiential Research, Experiential Simulator and Finding and Defining. The first stage of project mainly focuses on the study of Capriccio paintings where it can be analyzed of its complexity and intricacy. The site is lo-cated of Dubai underground because of its unlimited space of the desert.

The Dubai Linear mallLocation : Dubai

Size: 3.5 km longs“Each sections in the mall has different level of spatial

intricacy, according to the above surface condition”

The Dubai Linear Mall is an intricacy mall which it contains sev-eral intricacies of space and programs. Each section provides dif-ferent experience and atmosphere to all visitors. Some of it has low intricacy which it provides peaceful and quiet, contrast to the high intricacy space which it is very busy and complex. This is because the intension of design is to provide different experiences and feel-ings, which are completely opposite to above ground condition.

Size: ?“The self living house challenging itself on the most

flooded area in Cambodia.”

The project aims to design a tropical modern house in a challenge site condition. The chosen site is at Tonle Sap lake, the biggest lake in South East Asia. The flood occurs annually, people mostly build their own floating houses. This project is 20m x 20m for its size, located on the water and have to

challenge the water level according to the flood. It is a house for single family who produce their own supplies such as energy, food, clean water and utilities. Therefore, the house contains small farm, water collector, ferry parking, and energy collector.

Regulation , the building need to be offset by 6 m on each side.

PUSH IN ,the building volume is push in, to provide a space for carpark ramp and B O H space .

Extrude , the construction space is ex-trude up to the nearby height building..To re-alize the maximum space that i can use.

Separation, to provide to maximum ventilation to the countyard and the building. I divide the building into two building by allowing the direction of the wind flow into the building which are North East and South West.

Subtraction , the main exterior program that provide an exterior reading space, is subtracted to the building volume. It consumes 20 percent of the whole building volume where provide the shading to the center space.

Connection , there is a connection between the building on the south side. To provide the comfort-able circulation and shading for the countyard.

Final outcome , for further develop-ment with the others concpet of the design.

Countyard , the building provide the shading to the countyard, persuaded people to come out.

3Ixora is a flower that usually emphasizes the respect of students to their teachers. It is a symbol of Teacher’s day in Thai culture. This is an inspiration

of the design where it shows the significance of culture and tradition on the façade, structure, circulation and form. The concept is to transfer those symbols into public library, which can serve all people at all age group to give the best use of this library.

the tube|Project 04 Year 2 the tube|Project 04 Year 2

The objective of the project is to redesign the exciting park-ing lot in front of our Architecture building. “The tube” served its function to the main users, the architect students. Their are lack of working space that can be used for twen-ty-four hours. The design is the modification of its existing context, which is car. Therefore, the shape is more or less like a big car. Each individual unit provides different uses of space, some are more public and some are more personal.

The diagram shows comparison of the exiting private spac-es in the building according to the time period for each per-son spend in those spaces with the future development of “the free car” project where it produces more spaces for students.

Design Development : the design started with no pri-vate space and developed to suit student’s need where fences are provide each different number of spaces.

“reading space for i ndividual user”

readtate| Project 05 Year 1readtate| Project 05 Year 1

The rotating reading space is the small-scale project, which I designed from reading the book called “The swimmer”. It was very challenging to design the reading space from the text. The process of transformation of text into design was shown by foam mod-el and redesign according to function and spaces. Each section is rotated according to natural sunlight. Each user will get best nat-ural sunlight for reading on each section.

This model is inspired by the text from the book, the high of each section is according to the value of the context.

All experimental on the shape of the design by rotate and flip the model into different direction.

The chosen design for further development

Final model : the model shows how reading space interact with environ-ment and users. Looking from the font view, people can out any act to the space. They can lay down, sit and stand in their own individual unit. Each units look like it is rotating because its interaction toward the natural sunlight.

Drawing and diagram, all drawing indicate differen colour for each unit and the diagram shows how to sun interact with the spaces.

Site analysis : showing the objective of connection between hotel, market and the river.

Diagram shows prediction of flow change along the canel.

The project is located in Bangkrajao area, the largest green area in the busy city, Bangkok. The site is beside the canal which it connects the river and the floating market where there are about 200 people every weekend. The design is to provide the resort for visitors who like to experience the area, to see the nature of Bangkok and traditional life style of locals. The main transportation is the ferry where visitors can sail from the river to the hotel where the site is integrat-ing the canal into the site. Therefore, the hotel is designed for the change of water flow which it has deposit and erosion.

There are many projects when i was working with AV-ROKO suchas ; Central Embassy, Park hyaatt hotel, W hotel and The modern Pantry etc. Each project i was in-vovled in different position, someitmes i just did a pho-toshop of the elevation. Sometimes i design several part of the interior. Here, i got to explore more on material and style where it led me to be a better inteiror designer.
