Features KAC

Housing: Rugged, die-cast, soft-corner alu-minum housing with 0.12" nominal wall thick-ness. Extruded 4" soft corner arm for pole orwall mounting is standard. Dark bronze poly-ester powder finish is standard with otherarchitectural colors available.

Door Frame: KAD die-cast door frame hasimpact-resistant, tempered glass lens whichis fully gasketed with one-piece bonded tu-bular silicone. KAC die-cast aluminum doorframe has prismatic, impact-resistant, tem-pered glass, drop dish acrylic lens or dropdish polycarbonate lens. Door frame is fullygasketed with one-piece tubular silicone.

Optics: KAD reflectors are anodized hydro-formed/segmented aluminum. Four cutoff dis-tributions available: Type II (Roadway), TypeIII (Asymmetric),Type IV (Forward Throw) andType V (Symmetric). Reflectors are field-in-terchangeable. KAC reflector is optical-qual-ity aluminum that works in tandem with a light-diffusing prismatic lens.

Ballast/Electrical System: Ballast is high-reactance, high power factor (70-150W HPS)or high power factor constant-wattage au-totransformer (175-400W MH & HPS). Ballastis copper wound and 100% factory tested.

Finish: Dark bronze polyester powder finish(DDB) is standard with other architecturalcolors available.

Socket: Porcelain, horizontally (position)oriented mogul base socket with copper al-loy, nickel-plated screw shell and center con-tact. UL listed 1500W-600V. 4KV pulse rated.

Listings: UL listed for wet locations. Listedand labeled to comply with Canadian Stan-dards (see options).
