Charge Conference: June 29 A Charge Conference is scheduled for Thursday, June 29, at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The Charge Conference is composed of members of the Discipleship Council. An offer has been received for the land across the street, and the purpose of this Charge Conference is to vote on whether or not to sell this property. All interested members are invited to attend a meeting on Monday, June 26, at 6:30 p.m. in the Parlor to ask questions and share their voice. Only members of the Discipleship Council will vote. We will read the book Frederick by Leo Leonni and make cute little tear mice. God uses the talents of all! We will read Elmer The Patchwork Elephant, and make our own patchwork pachyderms! We will experiment using different media to mix colors and discuss what makes each of us unique. Art Class for 4 & 5 year olds: 6–7 p.m. • Free All children who have completed grades Pre–K to 5 are invited for awesome adventures at Vacation Bible School! Hero Central uses epic music, spectacular science, crafty crafts, heroic recreation, and fantastic Bible stories to help kids discover their strength in God! July 10–13: 9 a.m. to noon Stained Glass Class For Adults: 6–8 p.m. • $15 Come learn to create a stained glass, or increase your experience! Children’s Ministries: SUPER summer!June 28: Children’s Library open, 9 a.m. to noon, with activities for children ages 3 years – 2nd grade.

June 28: Mommy & Me (M&M): Every other Wednesday, 10–11:30 a.m. in Kids Kingdom. Bring your child (birth to three years) to play. Invite a friend!

June 29: Picnic and Mission Project at the Botanic Garden (meet at the garden and bring a sack lunch), 11 a.m.–1 p.m.

Kitchen Spring Cleaning: We are cleaning out the kitchen over the next few weeks. All personal items will be collected on a table in the kitchen on July 2. Please stop by to see if any belong to you. Unclaimed items will be donated or disposed of properly. Thank you!

Westaid Volunteers needed to stock shelves, assist families with shopping, and work intake and reception. Volunteers are needed each weekday; shifts are 2.5 hours long. Contact Denise McWilliams, 817.768.1076.

Journeymen meet the first and third Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. The next meeting will be July 6. For information about this group for men, contact Jeff Michero @ [email protected] or 817.966.3013.

A Walking Group meets at the church at 8 a.m. on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month for a 30-45 minute walk around our beautiful neighborhood. The next meeting is Thursday, July 6. Strollers and dogs welcome! Contact Amy Schelle for information, [email protected].

Save the Date: North District UMW’s Christmas In July will be July 10 at The Bethlehem Center.

Children’s Books Needed: Thomas Place Community Center needs books for elementary–age students for a new reading program. The AHUMC Little Free Library at Thomas Place also needs books for all ages. Please consider dropping off books at the community center or the Little Free Library (behind the community center).

Altar Flowers are a beautiful way to honor or remember a loved one. Sign up on the Flower Chart in the Atrium.

Super Summer Calendar! Families: Pick up a summer calendar in the Atrium! You’ll find details about VBS, children’s mission activities, and loads of fun events for children and their families.

Christmas in July: Would you donate items for United Community Centers?

Needed items include:• School supplies and uniforms• Non perishable foods (canned goods, dry pasta, cereal)• Paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, cups, plates and bowls)• Baby items (diapers are always needed)• Cash donations are welcome.Please bring donations to the atrium on July 2.

Tickets for the UMW Christmas in July event (July 10) are available at the collection table ($2) or can be purchased at the door. Christmas In July is the primary fund raiser for Fort Worth’s three United Community Centers.
