Information Sharing and Coordination of Efforts• AOT is looking to conduct an Arizona Tribal Strategic Plan

– We can’t do this without input from the Tribes• understand Tribal priorities• areas you are developing• how can we help market your attractions• identify strategies for effective collaboration with Tribes

Cultural Ecotourism Circuits and Partnerships• Share your calendar of events – AOT will post on our on-line

calendar but also share with area communities, post on bulletin boards

• Develop itineraries – these are trip ideas that a visitor might consider – share with AOT and we will share with media, tour operators, and it makes it easier for AOT to conduct Familiarization Tours (FAM)to your community

Comprehensive Visitor Data & Developing Visitor Studies• Tribes need to know who is coming so you can put your marketing dollars in

the right markets• Can show opportunities for partnerships with other tribes and off-reservation

communities• Repeat Survey of Visitors to Tribal Lands• Educate Tribal leadership on the importance of data collection

– It helps identify the markets where you spend your dollars– Data is needed for grant writing– Funders request data
