The day will cover: Shooters:

• Shooting training – dependent on the level of the group. From the basics of sighting and stance, to in-depth breathing, trigger and rapid-fire techniques for more advanced shooters.

• Lots of Turning Target Practice for all. • Opportunity to train for the next level if you are moving up in 2019. • Competition practice for all levels (there may be prizes!!). • Safety at competitions – “why do we do that?” • What to do if something goes wrong!

Parental involvement (optional lunchtime session):

• Loading, safety and the law surrounding air guns. • Different sorts of pistols, pros & cons – adults could have a shoot?

Sports Psychology session: Do these sound familiar?

These sessions are for you! PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR OWN REFRESHMENTS Instructors: Shooting: Andy Hurley: is an International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) pistol coach and a National Small-bore Rifle Association (NSRA) airgun instructor, as well as being a familiar face on the local Tetrathlon circuit. Andrea Hurley: is an NSRA instructor and competitive shooter with Centurion Target Shooting Club and has recently been selected as a member of the English Small-bore Shooting Union’s (ESSU) pistol academy. (ISSF is the governing body for all Olympic shooting, NSRA is the UK’s governing body for small bore target shooting and the ESSU is the body that selects international teams in England) Sports Psychology: Steffi Dampney, (MBPsS): provides support for athletes in high jump, tetrathlon, rugby, football, polo, golf, shooting, eventing, dressage and show jumping and has been mentored by Charlie Unwin.

Steffi enjoys competing herself and understands all too well the pressures put on athletes both by themselves and other people. Using her training along with her competitive experience, Steffi works with athletes to discover the best techniques to enable them to fulfil their potential.
