you're free

By having a rough idea of the time you’re free, you’ve already reduced the risk of having to cancel.

Extra tip: have your calendar nearby!

DO respond to the appointment reminder as

soon as possible

DO NOT ignore the reminder because you might forget about

your appointment!

DO notify the organisation as soon as you find out you

DO NOT ignore the appointment and not show up

Someone else may desperately need that appointment. Organisations, including USQ, charge a non-attendance fee if

DO arrive 5–10 minutes early. If it's your first appointment at the service, allow 15–20 minutes, just to ensure you have enough time to fill out

necessary paperwork

DO NOT arrive 10 minutes late, expecting to walk straight

in to your appointment

It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of a busy life, but it’s

essential to remember the basics of common appointment courtesy.

With that in mind, here are a few reminders for when you make your next appointment…

DO be respectful towards the receptionist. Remember that the little things go a

long way!

forceful tone

Appointment hint: If you’re speaking to someone over the phone, they can hear it in your voice if you’re talking
