No I am not. I am the ES Guidance Counsellor. I shred all the papers that no one else should see. I feed into a machine and then the paper

gets shredded. When I eat my lunch I try not to use anything that goes in the garbage. I use a metal bowl and

spoon and my own coffeemug.

No I am not. I am the ES Assistant Principal. I work together with Mr Gillespie to take care of all the ES

teachers, assistants and students. In my house we have 3 rubbish bins.

One for things that can be recycled, one for food and one for stuff for the

garden.

No I am not the trash king. I am the Elementary School Principal. I take care of all the ES teachers, assistants and students. I I put paper in one, plastic in another, and waste in a third. I try and think carefully about the things I buy at the store, and often ask them not to give me a plastic bag.

No I am not. I am the Director of Operations and Security. As part of my job I am in charge of the cleaners in the school. I make sure that our cleaners collect all the trash from the school and then sort it out for recycling. I then arrange for PCF to come to school to take away our trash so that it can be recycled. The money they make from recycling is then used to help children who live on the dumpsite go to school.

No I am not. I am the Assistant Superintendent. I have meetings with teachers, children and parents. Sometimes I visit the classrooms. When I go to the cafeteria I throw things into the correct bins. I switch off the lights when I leave my office. I use scratch paper to print on. When I go to buy a sandwich I don’t ask for the plastic container but ask for a paper napkin instead.

1. Sort out trash and throwing things in the correct bins. (Recycling)

2. Pick up litter (can be recycling)3. Wash plastic bags and containers for

sandwiches and use it again. (re-using)4. Use your own supplies when you buy food

from the canteen.5. Bring you own plastic bags when you go

shopping. 6. Collect magazine paper and ring pulls for

PCF and plastic bags for Invisible. (recycling)

7. Turn off lights, air cons and computers to reduce electricity. (reduce)
