Duties & ResponsibilitiesMost Common: Carpool Lines
“Car line runs smoother and less parents become frustrated waiting in line. Nearly all parents and students are buckling up. Previously less than ½ were buckling up before the Patrols were on duty reminding them ‘don’t’ forget to buckle up’ as they loaded the students in their cars. The students who are involved in Safety Patrols have shown more mature leadership and responsibility traits than their peers.” –Safety Patrol Leader
•Open and close car doors•Direct cars according to procedure•Help students in and out of cars (especially younger students)•Keep students away from moving cars•Remind parents to

During this time, they also talk to the kids about walking to school safely, bike safety and being good helpers.” –Safety Patrol Leader
