Establishment Nº 1: SAN FRANCISCO, a local pub

At first sight:

-Appealing neon lights-Big entrance door-Well structured beer garden with a canopy , crowded despite the not so pleasant weather-Lots of customers inside too.-Three big TVs showing different channels-People standing at the counter and others sitting on stools, hardly anyone sitting at tables-Good atmosphere with people celebrating and laughing

Second thoughts

-Nice smell of homemade food-Lots of noice-Warm-coloured walls with pictures-Big plants on stairs-Staff with black uniform-Different types of beers and selection of beverages at eye line-Customers are in group -Cashier almost imperceptible-Friendly staff

Establishment Nº 2: LA CAVA, a local pub

At first sight:

-Old-style façade-Small entrance door-From the door it is possible to see the blue neon lights of the inside with well-lined bottles of wine on shelves-Customers inside are in groups. Some having dinner sitting at tables, others sitting on stools or standing by the counter.-Good atmosphere with people talking but not very loud-Dim light

Second thoughts

-Nice smell -Noise of crockery clattering-White-washed brick walls-Big brown wooden joists -Staff with black including apron-Different types of beers and selection of beverages at eye line highlighted with blue neon lights-Customers are in groups but with no children-Cashier almost imperceptible-Friendly staff

Establishment Nº 3: LA COMARCA, a local pub

At first sight:

-Small entrance door which almost puts you off-Beer garden covered surrounded by a canopy that you have to cross to enter the premises-Customers inside are in groups. - The walls are painted in bright orange colour both outside and inside

Second thoughts

-Not very nice smell -Typical product: 6 bottles of beer sold in a bucket with ice at a good price.-Despite being a pub where peoplego for a drink and an accompaningsnack, there are ads of sweet food and cakes. - Not very friendly staff-Two entrance doors: front and backboth with terrace-Not many products at eye line-Toilets are difficult to find

Establishment Nº 4: WELNESS CENTER, a gym

At first sight:

-Sliding entrance door which opens onto a corridor-Warm colours combined with wood, steel and stone-Customers come as individuals. - Black and white pictures showing people doing pilates-Big windows covered with white blinds-Broad pavement in front of the establishment

Second thoughts

-Welcoming receptionist as you enter -Relaxing atmosphere-Incense scent-Walls painted in white and dark Purple-Black doors combined with acid-treated glass doors-Friendly trainers and staff-Quiet atmosphere which invitesto meditation and relax-Full-coloured adverts of new courses and timetables

Establishment Nº 5: MERCADONA, a supermarket

At first sight:

-Big entrance door which opens when approached-Name in big green letters -Customers inside. - Cash line as you enter-Staff with uniform: orange striped shirt and dark green trousers matching the store image-High ceilings with powerful lamps -Halloween items in promotion near the cash lines

Second thoughts

-Fresh products displayed -Well organized products which show tidiness.-Some customers are alone and some in families-Products ordered by use and cate-gories: grocery, canned food, cleaning, dairy… -Small, last minute products nearthe cashier - Expensive, easy to steal productsare alarmed- Car park with barriers

Establishment Nº 6: CEPA “Francisco Largo Caballero”, an adult education centre

At first sight:

-Big glass doors-Trees in front of it-Groups of students outside - Two-story building-Big entrance hall very well-lit-Square inner yard surrounded by glass both on the ground and top floors-White walls-Blue blinds-Big, bright coloured flowers made of wood

Second thoughts

-Information point on the write -Administrative office on the left.-Offices and staff room cannot seen at first sight but have to belooked for. - Friendly staff-Big stairs to go to the first floor-Pictures of older times on the walls-Notice boards with advertisementsfor the students-Vending and coffee machine in thehall-Smell of coffee-Lift can’t be easily found
