POSEIDON'S NOTABLE MILESTONES
In 2019 we are celebrating our 20th anniversary as a leader and innovator in polar expedition cruising. From our beginnings in a single office operating trips to the North Pole, we have expanded to seven offices on four continents offering cruises across the Arctic and Antarctica. We have grown in many ways over the past two decades. But one thing has always been the same: our singular focus on small-ship expedition cruising in the Polar Regions.

DININGSea Spirit offers open-seating dining.
Delicious, contemporary, international
cuisine is freshly prepared in the Restaurant
by our talented chefs. The Bistro on Deck 5
is a lovely outdoor alternative serving lighter
fare for lunch, weather permitting. We also
celebrate special occasions with our
guests on board.
EDUTAINMENTLectures by our team of multilingual experts,
as well as briefings and recaps, movies
and documentaries, and social events such
as Captain’s cocktails take place in the
spacious Oceanus Lounge, featuring state-
of-the-art audiovisual equipment, including special Quiet Vox system for simultaneous translation into different languages.
ACTIVITIESGuests are offered many opportunities
to venture from the ship. Shore landings
provide the chance to explore and to
partake in guide-led interpretive walks
and photography workshops. We also
offer Zodiac cruising and optional adventure
activities such as camping in Antarctica
and sea kayaking in both Polar Regions.

SE A K AYAK CLUB
As part of Poseidon's Sea Kayak Club, your travelers can experience the thrill of paddling in polar waters as part of a small, expertly guided group. Kayaking is offered on selected voyages in both the Arctic and Antarctica, with the number of participants on each Arctic cruise limited to just 8, and on each Antarctic cruise to just 16. The number of kayaking sessions per cruise also varies and depends on the local weather conditions, but is usually three or four outings per cruise. We provide detailed guidelines before the voyage starts and guidance by an experienced kayak master during the cruise. We have all the necessary equipment on board (including the paddling suits). Previous experience in sea kayaks is required. The minimum age for this activity is 16 years old. All participants get kayaking certificates by the end of the cruise. Contact us for additional information.
ANTARCTICA CAMPING Camping in Antarctica provides a great opportunity to experience the polar environment in a unique, memorable way. This optional activity is limited to just 40 guests per voyage, and is available only for our Classic Antarctica departures. No previous experience is required. The group is accompanied by the camping master and several camping guides. We welcome everyone who is at least 12 years of age. Children who are between 12 and 18 years of age must be accompanied and supervised by their parents. We provide all of the necessary equipment – sleeping bags, a freshly laundered cotton sleeping bag liner, as well as a full-length insulating foam sleeping pad and single-person bivy sack. This activity totally depends on local weather conditions. All participants get camping certificates at the end of the cruise. Contact us for more information.

HIGH L ATITUDES LOYALT Y PROGR AMTo express our appreciation to our loyal travelers we’ve
created the Polar Circle loyalty card. It can be used to
reduce the price of any future voyage with Poseidon,
booked either with Poseidon directly or through a Travel
agency. Besides the savings, our guests can also take
advantage of the attractive benefits listed
on the back of the card.
The amount of the savings and the benefits depend
on the number of trips taken with us. These savings and
gift benefits are for the exclusive use of the cardholder.
However, the Polar Circle gift card itself is transferrable
and can be passed along to a friend or family member –
it could be their entry ticket to the amazing polar
