MOCKUP + PHOTOSHOPThe way of solving this piece of wall was starting from a solid cube, as it was the real wall, and then extracting the mass
shaping the different spaces. There was a conection among all the rooms which at the same time were at different
heights. Depending on its functions, these rooms were differently illuminated.

The program was solved around the living room, which was completely open to the public space. The services, compound
of kitchen, distribution gallery and toilet, form an L embracing the living room. To conclude, the bedroom was hidden over
the entrance, and was required to climb a stair to access to it.

ING RESIDUAL SPACE 9
The site is an unoccupied plot
placed in one of the corners
of the historical Alameda
Square in the city of Seville.
The purpose was to merge
the plot with the square,
involving the neighbors and
the casual visitors in the
project.
It could be used as a meeting
point, as a resting place or
just to walk through. Also it
could host street´s spectacle.
The project is complemented
with a scaffolding system to
build a viewpoint, where you
can enjoy the place in a
different way.

50 DWELLINGS IN TRIANA 15
The plot is located in the historical distric of Triana, in Seville. The idea
was to occupy the empty place sewing the adjacent buildings following
an orthogonal pattern.
Using the “Unité d´habitation” of Le Corbusier as main reference, there
is a repetition of modules fullfiling the plot.

The modules are repeated horizontally placing them next to each other.
They are placed in a way that terraces at different height appear, crea-
ting an interesting game of volumes.
The purpose was to create something like a village, where common
spaces has special importance, and relationship is search.
Vertically, a block is created piling modules. The access to the dwellings
are located every two storeys.

The main module, repeated horizontally, could be single or double as
we can see in the images. Entrance was at the same level, creating a
terrace when the superior model was missing. The distribution of the
dwelling is an adaptation of the dwelling in the “Unité d´habitation”,
being simple and very modular and following “Le modulor” of Le
Corbusier rules.

There is a second type of modules, widther, whose function is to
occupy the excess of area not filled by the module A horizontally.
The third type of module was repeated vertically. The double-duplex
share a terrace in one of the storeys trying to promote the relationship
among the people who live there.

The project is located in Ecija,
one of the most important towns
of Seville. To be more accurate,
it is placed within a residential
area, but next to the main
leisure center in the neigbour-
hood.
Apart from that, since its impor-
tant position in the district in
terms of green areas, one of the
main intentions of the project is
to conect visually the private
and public gardens.
Besides, the objective was to
create an institutional building
for the people from Ecija. Thats
the reason of trying to reveal this
solid appearance. Also the only
use of ceramic materials except
in special details that we use
white concrete.

The project consisted in
transformating a flat, that
was being used as a clinic,
into a dwelling. The main
purpose was to reduce
cost, so there were many
limitations in terms of
defining the spaces
because of the aim of
keeping as many walls as
possible.
My role in the project was to help in
the arrangement of the apartment,
defining the final plan, and to
develop a 3D model in order to
show the result.
