Portfolio 09/2011 * 12. * Architecture - Bus ShelterBus Shelter, NagpurThe project was about incorporating mass transportationsystem as a part of urban transportation, by designing a busshelter for the developing ring radial form of Nagpur. The busshelter was developed on the principle integration of dynamicsin safety, innovative technology and functionality of design.LocationThe location is surrounded by shopping areas, marketcomplexes, residential areas, office buildings and as well asinstitutional buildings which makes it the most suited place forfunctioning of a public transport, corresponding to theadequate need for such system. The Shankar Nagar squarecomprising of local businesses and traders, adds extensively tothe majority of bus user groups. The bus shelter is located onthe main bus route heading to the most populated BuldiMarket and Buldi Bust Station, thus providing convenience forthe daily working class. The location is also away from the sitesthat are likely to be obstructed by heavy motor vehicular trafficand highway transport, obtaining road safety without affectingany junction operation.*Apoorv Tomar - Portfolio 09/2011 13. The designevolved from deconstructing geometry to spatially buffer anactive temporal vivacity that becomes an aid to the movingcamera, committing different perspectives in movement.*Apoorv Tomar - Portfolio 09/2011 17. NDTV Profit News Desk, Mumbai, March 2009 *Apoorv Tomar - Portfolio 09/2011 18. *Scenography - NDT V Gadget GuruDesign of the NDTV Good Times Gadget Guru Set at the NewDelhi Studio produced at Anagram ArchitectsThe design builds on the subject of space and interaction, using media as a form of expression. Developed within thefinancial and logistic concerns, the form and aesthetics weredetermined within the design parameters set by a distinct andwell-defined activity. Focus was also to brace the lightings andcolors on the venue. The design evolved from idea of a cyber-pod creating a visual enclosure within the constructed space. * Apoorv Tomar - Portfolio 09/2011 19. NDTV Gadget Guru, NDTV Good Times, New Delhi, Oct 2008 * Apoorv Tomar - Portfolio 09/2011 20. *Scenography - NDT V ProfitSelected design for the NDTV Profit News Desk at the NDTVProfit Mumbai Studio while working with Anagram ArchitectsThis was the second and final proposal given to the NDTVProfit Studio. Among few reasons of this design beingpreferred over the previous one, cost chop-down was a majorrationale. With an altered approach, the design of this newsdesk aimed at a much more resolute and uncomplicatedstructure.
