• Highlights from this Meeting:– Structured Metrics Repository (SMR) RFC Planning Session

• ADM TF will create RFC of various metrics to be approved by AB

– Effort headed up by Bill Curtis

– Email list to be created (Ulrich) and joined for PRM

– RFC will NOT include any specific metrics

– RFC will include sample metrics as were used in SMM

– RFC will include repository structure and governance model

– SMR will be implemented instance of SMM

• Metrics governance

– There will be 2-tiered repository (submitted and approved)

– First round of metrics will encompass software quality and systems assurance – coordinated effort by CISQ and ADM TF for SQ and SA

– Once standard is adopted, FTF and RTF work will include cross-domain participants to begin including various families of metrics

– FTF / RTF will resolve conflicts -

– Metrics will undergo 1-year posting cycle, initiated through relevant task force or SIG

• RFC will be reviewed in Boston (Sept.) targeting Santa Clara (Dec.) for issuance 2

• Highlights from this Meeting:

– Pattern Recognition Metamodel (PRM) RFC Discussion

• Reviewed RFC (posted as document # ADMTF_2010-03-03)

• Agreed to have Cast change to RFC working with KDM Analytics

– Djenana will provide input on this to Bill Curtis

• Email list to be created (Ulrich)

• Should be generic and look at any patterns – not just code patterns

• Source of patterns would be any MOF model

• May possibly need extensions to address non-code patterns

• Relationship to CWE Standard from Systems Assurance is that CWE is non-machine-readable patter library and PRM is machine readable

• Will review RFC in Boston, targeting Santa Clara for issuance

• Assigned prime author: Bill Curtis 3

• Highlights from this Meeting:

– Discussions related to Threat Risk Assessment as our next area of focus

• Slides on Hazard Analysis were presented

• Draft RFI was reviewed

• Decision was made to revise RFI

– Title of RFI: Risk Assessment

– Objective: collect information on Risk Assessment models, artifacts, processes and vocabulary to be used as input to upcoming Risk Assessment Metamodel RFP

– Discussion on Assurance Case Templates/Patterns and Process of writing ACs

• Process of creating Dependability Assurance Case was presented

• Decision was made that we will proceed with white paper on the subject in hope to encourage people/organizations to join/submit domain specific assurance case models that would be turned into AC patterns 5
