Social Housing in Chiasso Scuola Universitatia Professionale della Svizzera Italiana (SUPSI)
Professor: Alessandro Scandurra
Chiasso2014
Short Description: This refurbishing project is consisting not only from two-bedroom apart-ments but of common shared spaces e.g. reading areas, temporary accom-modations with private bathroom, shared kitchen and living room.
The apartments are organized in such a way that it is created a “box” which contains all the functions of the apartment. They are having a window between the kitchen and the corridor for reinforcing the social hous-ing sense. The majority of the apartments have facilities for special needs persons.

Reuse Project Scuola Universitatia Professionale della Svizzera Italiana (SUPSI)
Professor: Alessandro Scandurra
Chiasso2013
Short Description: It is developed at former customs premises, which currently have warehouse usage. The project is consisting of the two existing parts and of the two additional parts linked to the functions of distribution and structure cov-ering.
The distribution’s function, so-called “amphitheater”, is the gradual eleva-tion to the road level from the basement. Hence, that space can be trans-formed to relaxation/walking area where can be situated small green areas, cafes, shops etc.The structure covering, which reflects the existing warehouses’ roofs, is located at the interim between the entrances of the existing buildings and creates a covered waiting area that is visible from the near bridge. The two existing buildings are being transformed into a theatre and dancing hall re-spectively. The project’s purpose is the creation of shared areas, which have different and interlinked functions.

Apartment in Milan
Milan (Italy)2014
Short Description: This refurbishing project was developed and implemented with a limited budget on the owners’ behalf hence the provided solutions were restricted.
The main feature is a semi-transparent wooden functional furniture and it is created as a separation between the kitchen and the living room. In addi-tion, tight bathroom was transformed in a pleasant space by using bright colours and by rearranging the shower cabin position. With an effective rearrangement of the interiors and the colour usage the apartment per-ceived a brighter and more luminous tone.

Professor: Lucas Meyerproject in collaboration with Mischa-Lara Beccaro
Locarno2013
Short Description: This project is situated at the Locarno’s University and it is inspired by the observation of the students use of the windowsill. In particular, they tend to stay at this area not more than 15 minutes and that only happened at the interval between the lessons.
Therefore, the intention was the creation of a structure, which could have made the space use more comfortable, relaxing and interactive. Specifically, it is a metallic structure that goes around the radiator, currently located at this space and forms a meeting point for the students. The diameter of the metallic tube is 33mm for being able to resist at the weight of the person who will use this. It is used red color for highlighting the structure and attracting the students’ attention simultaneously. Finally, there was taken into account the analysis of Neufer’s measurements about the man in various standing positions.
