Loads shown in this table were calculated from formulas developed by S. Timoshenko and given on pages 156 and 157 in his ìStrength of Material,* Part II, Second Edition, 1941. The basis of the formulas and therefore the calculations are:

1. The deflection is small in comparison with the thickness of the plate 2. The plate is uniformly loaded. 3. 22" to 36" spans have 3/16" x 2" x 2" aluminum angle stiffeners at 24" O.C. MAX.

Tables are based on flat plate thickness excluding any raised pattern on the material. Loads are limited by either a maximum deflection of 1/150 of the short side length or a maximum stress of 28,000 psi. The above load table does not apply to the slotted hole cover plates. M SERIESTrench/access frames and covers offer easy access to in-floor services with lightweight removablecovers. For economical installation, frames are factory mitered and pre-assembled using cast aluminum connectors and extruded aluminum splice connectors. All trench/access assemblies havedual vinyl hollow o-ring compression gaskets, stainless steel fasteners, and protective finish on all aluminum surfaces in contact with cement. Liners are optional for all trench/access assemblies.

B SERIESThe B Series is a dual elastomeric system designed for floor and wallexpansion joint applications. It is a combination aluminum alloy andelastomeric seal product allowing plus and minus 25-50% thermalmovement and up to 100% seismic movement in nominal expansionjoint gaps of 1 to 12 inches.

It has metal flanges to provide mechanical attachment ofthe bellows cover to the roof or cant that allows plus and minus 50%thermal and seismic movement in nominal expansion joint gaps of 1 to6 inches. It has an optional internal moisture barrier that can be directed to drains or exterior wall covers to evacuate water.

Exterior systems have an internalmoisture barrier that can be transitioned to roof covers to evacuate water.

Typical applications: Interior and exterior wall applications for CMU and dry-wall in either surface or flush mounted conditions. Joints larger than 6 inches have an internal cen-tering or pantograph system. Mount all exterior frames and seals in continuous sealant.

P SERIESThe P Series is a fire barrier system designed for floor, wall and ceilingexpansion joint applications. It is a mechanically attached life safety sys-tem that is designed to maintain the fire rating of the adjacent structure at the expansion joint opening. This is a component of a listedand labeled assembly adhering to testing criteria outlined in UL2079 andASTM-E1966 requiring ratings for Flame, Heat and Air leakage and test-

ed for movement, positive pressure and hose stream requirements. These typically accompany otherexpansion joint cover systems to provide a finished application.

G SERIESThe G Series are snap-on or clip-in cover systems designed for wall and ceilingexpansion joint applications. The snap-on device has a hidden fastener to providemechanical attachment of the metal cover plate to the substrate. The clip-in coversystems are attached using stainless steel internal fasteners. These allow plus andminus 25-50% thermal movement in nominal expansion joint gaps of 1 to 2 inches.

P SERIESThe P Series is a fire barrier system designed for floor, wall and ceilingexpansion joint applications. It is a mechanically attached life safety sys-tem that is designed to maintain the fire rating of the adjacent structure at the expansion joint opening. This is a component of a listedand labeled assembly adhering to testing criteria outlined in UL2079 andASTM-E1966 requiring ratings for Flame, Heat and Air leakage and test-

ed for movement, positive pressure and hose stream requirements. These typically accompany otherexpansion joint cover systems to provide a finished application.

Options: Floor to Floor, Floor to Wall, for concrete applications. Wall to Wall, Wall to Ceiling, Ceiling toCeiling, Ceiling to Wall for fire rated gypsum board applications.

M SERIESTrench/access frames and covers offer easy access to in-floor services with lightweight removablecovers. For economical installation, frames are factory mitered and pre-assembled using cast aluminum connectors and extruded aluminum splice connectors. All trench/access assemblies havedual vinyl hollow o-ring compression gaskets, stainless steel fasteners, and protective finish on all aluminum surfaces in contact with cement. Loads shown in this table were calculated from formulas developed by S. Timoshenko and given on pages 156 and 157 in his ìStrength of Material,* Part II, Second Edition, 1941. The basis of the formulas and therefore the calculations are:

1. The deflection is small in comparison with the thickness of the plate 2. The plate is uniformly loaded. 3. 22" to 36" spans have 3/16" x 2" x 2" aluminum angle stiffeners at 24" O.C. MAX.

Tables are based on flat plate thickness excluding any raised pattern on the material. Loads are limited by either a maximum deflection of 1/150 of the short side length or a maximum stress of 28,000 psi. The above load table does not apply to the slotted hole cover plates. Contact Architectural Art Mfg. for allowable loads.
