Sugar Cookie recipe· Preheat oven to 375oF (190oC).· Mix together 2 ¾ cups of all purpose flour, 1 tea spoon baking soda, ½ teaspoon baking powder.· In a bowl, cream together 1 cup softened butter and 1 ½ cups sugar unit smooth.· Beat in 1 egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract· Gradually blend in the dry ingredients· Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and place onto ungreased cookie sheets.· Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven or until golden brown.· Let stand on cookie sheet for 2 minutes before removing to cool on wire racks.
