My first time travels brought me to Grand Cayman Island. Upon arriving in Grand Cayman, there were many emotions that were felt as one would expect of a new traveler. There was the uneasy feeling that comes about when arriving in an unknown place as well as the exhaustion felt after hours of sleeplessness from the flights and excitement. Those emotions very quickly suppressed by the overwhelming beauty of the island. The island was a picturesque paradise. The initial reaction was to never leave. The island was so relaxing; the sand was so fine, water so clear and the views extraordinary. I had did it, I arrived and now I was ready for the journey, the journey with no fixed plans but to experience everyday things as if for the first time.

Travel is more than the seeing of sights, it is a change that can occur within the traveler, something deep and permanent. It is the ideas of living somewhere unfamiliar, unknown that I have learned in my travel to Grand Cayman Island. There are numerous attractions that one should never miss when traveling to Grand Cayman. A few favorites are the Turtle Farm, Stingray City Sandbar, Night Life and George Town, the capital of Grand Cayman. •Turtle Farm is a breeding farm for turtles where you can hold turtles

-Another attraction at the turtle farm is the opportunity to swim with sharks •Stingray City Sandbar is where you are boated out to a sandbar in the sea where you can swim, feed and hold stings rays• The Nigh Life is wild with Monday Midnight Madness and Wednesdays Drinking Club

-There is also the opportunity to go aboard pirate ships to experience the night life out in the sea• In George Town there is plenty of shopping with the vide variety of stores•The Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park is a garden filled with plant life and home to a wide range of indigenous animals•Horseback Riding on Beaches is another activity where you can take the horse into the water and a nice walk on the beach

Aside from the activities and entertainment, which can be very educational, it is the natural beauty of the sea, the land and the animals that captures many travelers interest.

Everyone can have paradise and everyone should be given the opportunity to travel. We live in an enormous world where people should feel the adventure in experiencing different places, to learn different cultures, and to meet new people. We all should live the thrill and be spontaneous at one time or another in our lives. The first joy of travelling to an island can rarely if ever be forgotten, but we can learn from that joy in discovering new places to explore.

Why Travel to an Island?

First time traveling and continuing to travel can change a person in a way to gain a better understanding and appreciation for the world we live in. An understanding that there is more than just one place, one setting and that, as humans we can have the opportunity to discover the world. It just begins with one destination, one journey.
