TOUR DE FRANCESThis inaugrual event is for riders of all levels. The path will take you on a picturesque journey between Apsley in Victoria’s west and Frances in South Australia Eastern Border. The route is fast, flat and scenic!

Thereare four distances for riders to register in. 80km from Apsley to Frances and return, 40km Apsley to Frances with the bus return or the more family friendly distances of 20k from Benayeo to Frances or 10km from Binnum to Frances.

START TIMES

Registrations are from 9:30am -10:15am at the Border Inn Hotel, Apsley.

Riders Depart from the Border Inn 10:30amReturn Time Riders depart Frances Hotel 1pm

All participants will recieve a wristband and admission ticket which will give them entry to the 2016 DiGiorgio Family Wines Apsley Cup held at the Edenhope Racecourse the following day.

INDEMNITYI understand that I am entering this event at my own Risk and in my judgement have sufficient competence and experience to complete this event safely.

Riders are to obey ALL road rules. 1. Wear an approved helmet. 2. Have working head and tail lights on your bike. 3. Ride no more than two abreast. Ride single file on double lines, crests of hills, narrow winding sections, other unsafe or inappropriate situations, and when instructed by marshals and officials. 4. Do not follow within 5 metres of a vehicle, or accept food or assistance from a moving vehicle. 5. Do not be motor paced by a vehicle. 6. Do not ride over double or single continuous lines and keep to the left as far as is practical. 7. Obey all traffic signals. The roads are not closed for the event. Stop at STOP signs and give extreme care at GIVE WAY signs, as you do not have right of way. 8. Obey traffic instructions from a Police Officer and/or Event Official. 9. Give way to pedestrians.10. Give hand signals when turning right or doing a U turn, use ‘bike etiquette’ techniques so other riders know what you are doing and are informed of road dangers, etc. 11. Ride with two hands on the handlebars at all times.
