BRANDO'S SPORTS BARWe rst walked into Brando's Sports Bar back in April 2012. At that time, they hadjust removed the carpet and put in the new ooring. The outdoor patio was still underconstruction. We sat down with Nick and Anthony to discuss their vision for the barThey quickly joined the Chamber and our marketing plan began. Now, three yearlater, Nick and Anthony have stayed true to their vision with their continuation of
upgrades, adding 312 and Goose Island Beer on tap, incorporating Deep Dish Pizzato the menu which also includes Italian Beef sandwiches and Chicago style Hot Dogs
(no ketchup please!) The upgrading of the decor continues with additional tables andseating, additional HD TV's throughout, new outdoor signage...and other surprise up
grades to come in 2015. Gaming Give-Aways (recently a Scooter) have also becomthe norm at Brando's. Additional staff is brought on during playoff season. Because
of your #shopchicagoan loyalty, their growth has been a success and Brando's is
currently the Premier Former Chicagoan and Hockey Sports Bar in the valleyBrando's Sports Bar recently served as the launch location for the Vegas Wants
Hockey campaign. As the 2015 BlackHawks and Bulls playoff season begins, AnthonyNick and Rocky invite you to watch the games with them at Brando's and experience
the "old neighborhood" feel of being back home.

GOOGLE RANKING & YOUR MOBILE WEBSITE by Frank Okun
MEET BUSINESS MEMBER DR. KAREN D. LEEby Mary Romano
Is your website mobile friendly? Google recently announced the April21st, 2015 implementation of its Mobile Search Algorithm in an effort to
improve the mobile users search experience. For several weeks priorto the launch, Google has been notifying many website administrators
and internet industry leaders that the search engine giant will favor
"mobile friendly" websites by providing higher rankings in its search
engine, particularly mobile search. Google proclaimed the algorithm will signicantly impact mobile search
results. As over 90% if the world's population uses a mobile device to search for information, including business locations, products, services, etc., it is important for your website to be "mobile-friendly". A mobile-friendlywebsite will display correctly on mobile devices such as smartphones, iPhones, iPads, and tablets. Your website
must meet the criteria to be labeled as mobile friendly. So what's needed to make your website mobile friendly?Mobile phone screens are 1/5th the size of desktop computers, so your website must be easy to read and understandUnlike the desktop version of your site, menus have limited space on mobile devices. If you look at your websiteon a mobile device, and you have to scroll around to read or navigate, then your site is not mobile friendly
Flash, which is found on many websites, is becoming an outdated coding language. Apple devices do notsupport Flash, so if you see missing videos or animation when viewing your website on an iPhone or iPad,your website may need to be reprogrammed with HTML5, CSS or JavaScript to replace Flash. In additionthere is a difference between "mobile-responsive" and "mobile-friendly". These terms get confused. A
mobile friendly website usually has "quick action" tabs or buttons to quickly navigate. For examplethe most common of these are "Call Now" or "Contact" button, "Find Us" or "Directions" button.Furthermore, a mobile friendly website is "clean" and uncluttered. A mobile responsive site simply means
your website will automatically t the screen of various devices, but doesn't necessarily meet the criteria of amobile friendly website. If your site is not mobile friendly now, you should contact your webmasterNevada Website Design offers special website and internet marketing promotions for Chicagoans in theDesert Members, and offers free consultation. 702-421-8712
