There is a growing commitment to emerging artists at VBBFW with the holding of the New Talents show to display the collections of five designers destined to set trends.

NEW TALENTS

SIMONE MARULLIAs regards art, his creation is regarded as art in itself. Similarly, the designer Simone Marulli’s collection is the result of the inspiration and creativity of every tiny detail created by the art of fashion.

LORENA PANEAA designer of wedding and party dresses and other luxury accessories with its roots in ancient Egypt and made in Spain. A philosophy based on timelessness, personalisation and sustainability, with designs that seek a balance between originality, elegance and minimalism.

MIREIA BALAGUER“Daring, risky and confident; that’s what the designs are like. They bear my identity. We dress dreams. We replace the magic wand with the sewing machine, magic dust with patterns and spells with her designs. With effort, hard work, creativity, ingenuity and risk we’ve refined our work and achieved exclusive and personalised items. That makes the brand special and unique”.

OLGA MACIÀOlga Macià discovered her vocation for fashion design by merging sensitivity and perseverance imbued into her life through drawing and dance. As a designer, she is guided by realistic lines, solely resorting to the all-in-one concept of Elsa Schiaparelli, in whom she finds her inspiration, creating a woman with a complete and sophisticated look who perfectly integrates her garments into her personality.

POESIE SPOSAPoesie Sposa came into being in 1998 through Isabella Tagliferri’s passion for haute couture, which drove her to travel in search of the most sophisticated wedding dresses. A few years later, the meeting with Elisa Orlandini made Poesie Sposa what it is today, a creativity workshop that feeds on its love of beauty. All the collections are inspired by the world of poetry and, through poetry, they pay tribute to love.

23/04 - 16:00

POESIE SPOSA I ‘Letters to Fanny’“Love is my religion. I could die of love. I could die for you”. The 2020 collection is inspired by John Keats’ love letters to his muse Fanny Brawne, who stayed close to him during his most prolific poetic period. Like letters which express a sublime message of love, each dress in the collection is a shining star radiating exquisite beauty.

23/04 - 16:00

MIREIA BALAGUER I ‘Anastasia’Mireia Balaguer has sought inspiration in the passing of life, in the lessons we learn and the decisions we make. We can observe the evolution of an insecure woman who, with the passage of time and periods of shadows, decides to empower herself and become more determined. It includes designs with tulle, silk tulle, Italian crepe and acetate.

FASHION SHOWS DESIGNERS

From 23rd to 26th April the designers attending Valmont Bridal Barcelona Fashion Week will add their own voices to the 2020 trends on a catwalk with more fashion shows than ever.

23/04 - 16:00

FELY CAMPO I ‘Introspection’‘Introspection’ is a creative journey into the interior that merges passion with commitment and the strength to make designs inspired by a combination of fabrics, textures and forms of colours. The designer seeks subtlety, embroidering a very personal line, full of nuances. A collection that denotes magic and reflects its designer’s soul.

23/04 - 13:30

CRISTINA TAMBORERO I ‘Five’The designer’s new and highly-awaited bridal collection revisits the firm’s most iconic models, adapting them to current trends. Embroidery work with beading, organdy, tulles and crepê gives life to unique designs that highlight the feminine form. Five Bridal Collection is the result of five years dressing women seeking very personal details for their wedding dresses.

23/04 - 12:00

JESUS PEIRO I ‘Cala Collection’The flower in the shape of a cup, one of the Impressionists’ favourites, constitutes the inspiration for the firm’s new collection. Its organic profile, the wavy capriciousness of its forms. The secret introspection of its beauty. Everything is feminine. Subtle. On some occasions voluminous, on others slim. Always light. The zantedeschia is beauty that impresses and imbues Jesús Peiró’s bridal collection with a radiant whiteness.

23/04 - 16:00

SIMONE MARULLI I ‘Chapter #6’Inspired by the creative moment at which the designer executes the small gestures that make up the art of fashion. The art of fashion that distinguishes this new collection starts from the knot, from the primary element of the warp and woof, to create the fabric, from the gesture of adding organza trimmings and from following a silk bow that is transformed into a dress.

23/04 - 16:00

LORENA PANEA I ‘Kemet’Kemet is a ritual, a journey into the past where all the senses are stimulated. It is an assertion of the plurality and unique essence of each woman. History plays with art to create its own language, in which everyone has the freedom to interpret it. Kemet is a collection that represents current-day women, those who wish to see a reflection of themselves in their dresses.

Page 12: APRIL - media.firabcn.esmedia.firabcn.es/content/S113019/docs/visitor_guide_en.pdf · Marylise & Rembo Styling Inmaculada Garcia Marchesa - Barcelona Bridal Night* Carlo Pignatelli

23

23/04 - 18:00

SEDOMIR RODRÍGUEZ DE LA SIERRA I ‘Apollo and Daphne’The mythical love story of Apollo and Daphne takes shape and form in the latest collection by Sedomir Rodríguez, in which he exhibits stunning jewel-dresses with floral motifs and hand-embroidered crystals. The firm is committed to artisan finishes in a collection that bears the soul of its designer. Greek-inspired dresses in a sophisticated and sensual proposal with a predominance of contrasts.

23/04 - 18:00

MARÍA SALAS I ‘Magic’María Salas scrutinizes the innermost mysteries with great sensitivity and turns them into fabric with great artistic expression. This is how ‘Magic’, her latest collection, came into being, in which each design millimetrically studies the feminine physiognomy, giving meaning and recognition to each curve, each gesture and each personality. A total of 28 magical and exclusive garments to turn the collection into a materialized dream.

23/04 - 19:30

AIRE BARCELONAThe first Aire Barcelona catwalk collection proposes a fresh and trendy look for a free-spirited bride who dreams of a dress made especially for her. Cotton lace and crochet enrich the most romantic designs with an ethereal sensuality. The different kinds of sleeves add a touch of fantasy and constitute one of the most distinctive elements of the new collection.

24/04 - 10:00

THE ATELIERThe brand explores the depths of mysterious futurism in its 2020 collection. By means of the structure, shape and colour of the dress we can interpret the world according to the free will of the masters of surrealist art. It’s a world that lies closer to dreams. We don’t have to worry about whether it’s logical or not, but it may be closer to the future.

24/04 - 11:30

FLORA I ‘Whispers’ The firm's 2020 collection focuses on daring twists and elegance with a personal touch. All women are unique in their personalities, which will be reinforced by the right dresses. Flora presents a collection for all women seeking to be bold, elegant, modern and a version of themselves.

24/04 - 11:30

SOPHIE ET VOILÀ I ‘Tanto’Sophie et Voilà’s new collection is resounding, powerful and noble but, at the same time, feminine, subtle and delicate. That’s what Basque pelota is like too. Our sport is played with strength, seriousness and passion. With no tool other than the hand. And yet the ball sways around, small, determined and almost romantic, achieving no more or less than a perfect balance.

24/04 - 13:00

CARLO PIGNATELLI I ‘Ceremony’, ‘Couture’ and ‘Florinda Le Spose’The firm presents three collections: ‘Ceremony’, which explores the interiors of noble mansions and palaces relived in the processing of the fabrics, ‘Couture’, for sophisticated brides seeking dreamlike creations made of delicate fabrics, and ‘Florinda Le Spose’, born under the sign of modernity, with hyper-feminine details, embroidered straps and transparencies.

23/04 - 16:00

OLGA MACIÀ I ‘A new blossoming’Olga Macià presents a collection aimed at determined women who know what they want and who are looking for details and giving a second chance to love. It is a collection designed for second marriages featuring fabrics with floral details, beading and tulle. Twelve unique pieces divided into wedding dresses and party dresses.

24/04 - 20:30

MARCHESA I ‘Marchesa Bridal Culture‘Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, Marchesa’s two designers, have created a global fashion brand with elegant evening gowns and exclusive haute couture designs. They’ll present their new collection on Barcelona Bridal Night, an event set to be streamed.

24/04 - 17:00

MARYLISE & REMBO STYLING I ‘Boho Chic, Studio Rembo and Marylise’The firm presents three collections: Boho Chic, which reflects a style that endures in brides by means of a mosaic of materials and looks, paying particular interest to fabrics and hems, Studio Rembo, a limited series of twelve dresses that represents originality and creativity for daring brides, and Marylise, sophisticated simplicity, a perfect fit that accentuates the feminine form with elegance and simplicity.

25/04 - 10:00

JULIA KONTOGRUNIThe designer once again challenges the senses with her new collection. French luxury embroidery and lacing used in the unique design of the corset, combinations with handmade flowers and decorative elements in a masterpiece that recreates the first day of spring. Julia Kontogruni will take you back to the world of fairy tales, in which all brides deserve to be princesses.

25/04 - 11:30

ISABEL ZAPARDIEZ I ‘Brava’Brava pays tribute to women and bravery; it’s a round of applause, a cry of encouragement. Brava means being the horsewoman of life, holding the reins firmly and riding to her very limits. The 2020 collection by Isabel Zapardiez is inspired by the universe of the horse. In the centre lies the greatness suggested by the print and respect for the animal enjoying complete freedom.

25/04 - 15:00

ESTHER NORIEGA I ‘Magical’Her new line is inspired by the magic of the castles of the province of Valladolid, mediaeval fortresses that house thousands of secrets. They have witnessed everything that has happened inside them and, although they’re now empty, uninhabited or in ruins, they retain their latent magic.

24/04 - 15:30

ISABEL SANCHIS The firm is characterized by its use of volume and the importance of the female outline. The inspiration for this 2020 collection comes from Asian culture in sizes that create ribbons, long dresses with crafted patterns, dragon embroidery with delicate artisan techniques and red floral prints that transport us to another continent.

24/04 - 18:30

INMACULADA GARCIA I ‘Cathedrals’The designer’s passion for beauty and harmony has led her to recreate the architectural style of cathedrals and, in particular, artistic compositions of stained-glass windows, given their luminosity and solemnity. Beneath this concept, she pays tribute to classical dressmaking, with the manual work of the fabrics, sizes and patterns to satisfy different women’s styles.

25/04 - 13:00

ROSA CLARÁWith her new haute couture 2020 collection, Rosa Clará proposes recovering the greatest possible sophistication of bridal fashion. The Art Deco influence is reflected in the linear lacing combined with embedded micro-beads for modern and glamorous designs. In its most minimal line, we should highlight the crepé dresses that hug the figure to perfection.

27

25/04 - 20:30

YOLANCRIS I ‘Horses of Patti Smith’This collection follows in the wake of ‘Identity’ (2019) and explores the concept of freedom. It provides reminiscences and an ode to the freest moments in history. It’s a solo by Jimi Hendrix. It’s Coltrane’s free jazz. It’s the summer of 1969. They’re Gabrielle Chanel’s trousers, Pollock’s dripping and surreal automatic writing. It’s individuality as a difference.

25/04 - 15:00

BEBA’S I ‘The Unexpected’The designer structures this collection around the theme of the unexpected. Materials that flee from ordinary places, geometric shapes that float almost unseen, stunning colours that take over the white... ‘The Unexpected’ pays tribute to the unexpected, an invitation to open up at random, to lose control and to allow the unpredictable to happen.

25/04 - 16:30

CYMBELINE I ‘Bide 20’“By chance I met his gaze and was captivated by the deep blue of his eyes”. The designer consequently made the decision to turn the blue of Miró, the great artist from Barcelona, into the common theme of the collection. The painter’s study guides the designer’s imagination and the breeze of the fashion allows this collection with such a light touch to be exhibited.

25/04 - 18:00

MARCO & MARÍA I ‘Memories of a needle’‘Memories of a needle’ combines fine work by hand and a heart committed to working on each garment with nuances of craftsmanship. A set of dresses full of evocative cuts to configure a luxurious and melancholic proposal reminiscent of the dressmaking of yesteryear. Marco Marrero and María Díaz are the authors of a highly elaborate collection that doesn’t ignore the magical air characteristic of the firm.

26/04 - 09:30

MORI LEEDesigner Madeline Gardner’s collection is inspired by Desert Dreams: “I was inspired by desert landscapes, by the amazing geometry we found in nature and by the flowers and the smooth shapes of the sand dunes, which are reflected in the elegant silhouettes and the details of the dress lace”.

26/04 - 11:30

MAGGIE SOTTEROThis season was inspired by her admiration for the modern woman. Current-day women have more self-confidence and power than ever before, and they’re very proud to be women. The brand seeks to celebrate the strength and beauty of femininity. The celebration is expressed through a soft and romantic coating: a beautiful combination of exquisite lace, luxurious fabrics and delicate brightnesses that adorn impressive silhouettes.

FASHION SHOWS DESIGNERS

26/04 - 10:30

RAMÓN SANJURJO I ‘The Revolution’Evoking the “French-style eternal”, the new ceremony collection recalls the France that marked a before and an after. Inspiration is observed at a time when the new fashions co-exist with the old ones, the avant-garde with the vintage. The justacorps, the jacket and the culottes of that age become the contemporary jacket, the waistcoat and trousers.

26/04 - 13:00

CARLA RUIZ I ‘Birds of Paradise’This new collection takes us back to a paradise full of colour and fantasy where the designer has found an inexhaustible source of inspiration. The above evokes the majestic flight of birds. A prelude of colours that includes the subtlety of powdered roses, fuchsias, oranges and violets, the deepest greens and, finally, unique prints that succeed in transporting us to paradise.

29

26/04 - 15:00

DEMETRIOS I ‘Platinum’Free-flowing exuberance, sensual silhouettes and cosmic femininity embody this collection. By embracing refined glamour and a new level of extravagance, this line of charming designs incorporates impressive and bold forms with amazing decorations and details. Radiant elegance shines through the whole Modern Royale Collection.

26/04 - 16:30

SONIA PEÑA I ‘Thirteen Moons’The timelessness of the pieces in this collection seeks an elegant, sensual, mysterious and enigmatic silhouette. Transparencies, lurex and sequins with futuristic touches on the catwalk. Together with the weightlessness, the mixture of materials is very rich, with a brilliant balance in the use of the textures and the treatment of the fabrics. Metallic accessories, maxi planetary earrings and sparkles of Swarovski.

FASHION SHOWS DESIGNERS

26/04 - 18:00

RANDY FENOLI I ‘Silver Springs’The 2020 collection is a new and beautiful set of dresses genuinely inspired by brides from around the world. The exquisite embroidery, the perfectly positioned lace patterns to enhance the body and the transparent sensual backs will make the brides feel spectacular.

26/04 - 20:00

PRONOVIAS I ‘Cruise’Hervé Moreau has created the Cruise collection of unique pieces of art, the fruit of exceptional craftsmanship. The dresses reflect his passion for innovation in the forms, fabrics and details that set trends in a variety of different silhouettes.
