Planning is the process of thinking about

and organizing the activities required to achieve a desired goal.

involves the creation and maintenance of a plan. As such, planning is a fundamental property of intelligent behavior. This thought process is essential to the creation and refinement of a plan, or integration of it with other plans; that is, it combines forecasting of developments with the preparation of scenarios of how to react to them.

across America and in other countries.

Learned how to rap. Made my own rap song.Learned how to skateboard. Made new friends.Spent a year living in Korea. Have people to stay with

across the world when I travel.

I did this by developing a plan, long term goals, short term goals, continual motivation, evaluation of my progression, found people who could help me.

This applies to hobbies, school, and everything you want to achieve basically.

Mentorship Mentorship is a personal

developmental relationship in which a more experienced or more knowledgeable person helps to guide a less experienced or less knowledgeable person. However, true mentoring is more than just answering occasional questions or providing ad hoc help. It is about an ongoing relationship of learning, dialogue, and challenge.

Mentoring is a process for the informal transmission of knowledge, social capital, and the psychosocial support perceived by the recipient as relevant to work, career, or professional development; mentoring entails informal communication, usually face-to-face and during a sustained period of time, between a person who is perceived to have greater relevant knowledge, wisdom, or experience (the mentor) and a person who is perceived to have less (the protégé)”.

Page 15: April Culture School Lesson Plan

Why is this important? We all need help.Older people have gone

through similar situations and know the pitfalls in life.

They can provide encouragement and practical plans for dealing with personal dilemmas.

We all go through hard times, having someone similar in age and experience, but ahead on their road of life can be very beneficial.

Any other reasons why mentorship might be good?
