We are always thankful for the mercy and grace our Savior continually pours upon us. May we honor and

glorify Him in all that we do.

I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies ... 2 Sam 22:4

We would like you to pray for some special needs we have in the Menifee area. At this time we have a food

program on Thursdays which feeds over 90 families:

Our first need is of a bilingual pastor who is willing to dedicate himself in establishing a new church in this area.

Our second need is a van and a flatbed trailer to pick-up and deliver the food supplies each week. If you feel led to assist us please give us a call.

Other news: We have 5 new church starts this year.

Just completed another Sunday School Director’s training.

VBS training at Magnolia Ave. Bapt. Church will also be in Spanish on Sat. May 19th.

Next Spanish Pastor’s breakfast will be on Sat. April 28th @8am at Iglesia Bautista Casa de Luz, 572 N. 4

th St. Banning

Bruce Hitchcock Church Growth Strategist

Remain Steadfast In Paul’s deep love for the Philippian church (he refers to them as his “victory Wreaths”), he shows concern for their ongo-ing spirituality, unity and continued commitment to the spreading of the Gospel Message. As a result he has requests that will keep them empowered by the Holy Spirit and therefore on target for their spiritual growth. It seems from the text that the two women (Euodia; means prosperous journey, and Syntyche; means pleasant acquaintance) were not getting along. He asks for help to right whatever disagreement exists between the two of them. Then he identifies all of them as being born again as evidenced by their names being written in the Lambs Book of Life. We can learn a great deal about handling conflict by Paul’s response to a potentially difficult situation within the new church.

Philippians 4:1-3 – Address Issues Early: All organizations have problems that arise from time to time. Wise leadership recognizes and addresses these personal issues quickly. They use the best qualified, strongest Christians who are familiar with both those involved and the issues that are responsible for the diffi-culties. Catch it early and stay with it until it is completely resolved. Problems never resolve themselves they only get worse. Satan does not want to see compromise and restoration.

Philippians 4:4-6 – Resolve issues Proactively: When handling spiritual conflict, use spiritual warfare. Spiritually maturing Christians turn to the Holy Spirit for their strength. God’s method for handling conflict is tried, true, and eternal. Here are the steps to successful conflict resolution as noted in verses 4-6: 1. Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Put on a happy face and a happy heart. Enter into every conflict or potential conflict with love and joy in your heart and let your face and your attitude in on it. 2. Let your gentleness be known to all men. Handle others with gentleness and love. Dominate the listening. Listen to their concerns with an open mind and without making any judgment or giving any reaction until you have heard all of the information. 3. Be anxious for nothing. Weep with those who weep, console those who are grieving, laugh with those who laugh, be sympathetic and quieting to those who are angry as is suggested in Romans 12:10-19. 4. In everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Once you have listened to all sides of the disagreement take it to God. Let the Holy Spirit through prayer and discernment guide you through the decision process with love and concern for all parties.

Philippians 4:7 – Present Solutions to Issues in Faith And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Peace with God comes through salvation. The peace of God comes through living your faith. When we have made decisions that have been bathed in prayer and in counsel with the Holy Spirit no matter what the reaction to the decision we can have comfort in the fact that we have followed God’s plan for decision making.
