PIGGYBANK•Statistical tools provide measurements of data. Data can be compared on a broad generality or specific to the minute detail.

•Businesses like Piggy Bank who decides to use these statistical tools can specifically research information that is already made available through its sales department.

•Statistics in an interval form can provide categories that have a differences but no natural starting point. (Triola, p.9)

•Sales information which is collected from customers who make purchases can be tabulated and categorized into charts and tables to create a more visual appeal and understanding of each credit card transaction.

(The scatter graph is a fictional example of data).

RESEARCH QUESTIONS

Does PiggyBank keep trend records of sales? Are the incentives going to be monetary,

products and services or discounts? How large of a sample of recorded sales does

PiggyBank want to involve in the data? What is the monetary budget being used for

this project? Would PiggyBank like our firm to conduct

research on how competitors are implementing similar incentive programs?

What are the current economic affects doing to credit card usage?
