Welcome to Children's Ministry in the Family Center! Infant - Preschool 8:15-12:15 Loving childcare is offered throughout the entire morning for this age group. Older age groups do Bible stories, activities, and music. Kindergarten-Sixth Grade SUNDAY SCHOOL: 9:40-10:35 WORSHIP: 8:30 or 10:45 Children attend beginning of services with parents and are dismissed together for Kids Worship. National Day of Prayer Starts TODAY National Day of Prayer Events start TODAY. Wabash Friends is covering the prayer vigil on May 1st from 6pm-12 midnight. Signup in ministry folders or information tables for your 30 minute slot! A Gather Membership Class will be held TODAY from 12:30-3:30pm in the Roots Coffee Bar in the Family Center. Lunch will be provided. The class is a great way to learn more about the Friends Church and explore membership at Wabash Friends Church. In this three-week series we’re taking a look at a few key road trips Paul took in the book of Acts. Through his experiences on the road, we’ll discover that maybe the best thing that can happen on our journey is a change of direction. Week 3: Bottom Line - Treat everyone like they’re someone. Scripture Reference - Acts 20 TONIGHT - No youth group in the evening due to the Bridge Retreat. There is an awesome night of worship happening in the gym at 7pm. You should probably go to it. Multiple church youth groups are getting together for The Bash on Sunday, May 7th from 6pm to 8pm. We will have dinner together, games, live worship, and speaking from Aaron McClary. Baby Dedication - June 11th We will be having our next baby dedication on Sunday, June 11th. If you have child or baby you would like to be dedicated please contact Amy Cortez, [email protected]. VBS - Save the Date Save the date because the mornings of June 13-15th we will be having VBS! If you are wanting to volunteer please talk with Amy Cortez. Registration for children will begin the first week of May! Quaker Haven Camp Get Re-Wired! Registration is open for Quaker Haven Camps this Summer! All registration is done through quakerhaven.com. If you are a regular attender of Wabash Friends, talk to Amy or Brandon because your child qualifies for a discount! Character Building Teacher Needed Character Building is in need of a teacher this fall at Southwood Elementary. If interested, please contact Kathy Peas (765-981-2943) or Alan Siepker (260-563-5306). Peter's Team to Host Lunch on May 7th Little Friends Day Care Summer Adventure Little Friends Day Care is in need of the following items for the Summer Adventure Program to include art activities and STEAM projects. Legos; Digital Cameras with SD cards (Small ones like the Kodak Easy Share or something similar); Blank canvases 4"X 6" or 8"X10"; Art paint brushes; Beads of all kinds; Document frames 8 1/2" X 11"; Monetary donations towards summer art projects would also be greatly appreciated. If you would like to donate your time in sharing your talent for individual art days, contact Rachel Guyer, Director of Little Friends Day Care by phone at 260-569-0219 or email at [email protected]. We would like to provide a variety of experiences for the children so anything is welcome. Our short-term missionaries on Peter's Team to Joni & Friends Family Retreat will be hosting a free-will donation spaghetti lunch after church on May 7th. The team is raising support to cover the cost of serving at camp, as well as to provide medical supplies for the two weeks of camp in June. Your support of this ministry, which serves individuals & families affected by disability, is greatly appreciated. CIY MOVE - June 26th-July 1st. Sign up has started! Move is a week long conference for rising 9th graders through graduating seniors. For more info on the event please go to www.ciy.com/move. Registration runs to May 21st.
