Dear Friends and Neighbors, It appears we’ll be staying at home and socializing from a distance to keep safe from this horrible virus. Although I’ve been keeping myself busy with sewing, reading and housework, I realize some of you may not have the same interests and may be getting bored. So, I would like to suggest we each start a diary or journal. It doesn’t have to be in anything fancy, any paper will do. This will give each of us a chance to express ourselves. Perhaps later, we can reflect and share our thoughts with others. Whatever it takes to keep our minds busy and healthy, would be worth the effort. Please be safe, stay happy. You are important!

Please don’t touch the handle on the office door. For the time being, the office is closed to in-person contact. Yet, frequently people still try to open the door. Please, do not touch the door handle. We cannot guarantee it is sanitized.

Playgrounds and Basketball Court are Closed. The office has already contacted most parents and children. We understand young and old want to get outside, but everyone is expected to avoid LL amenity areas where the spread of the virus can occur. If you haven’t already, please explain to people in your household and/or family that LL amenities are closed.

No Early Symptoms: We should only be in close contact with people who live in our home. People are contagious with COVID-19 without realizing they have been infected. There are no early symptoms if somebody has this disease, that is why it is spreading so quickly. We all understand the Stay-At-Home order allows exercise and outside play. Please talk to your family and children about safe distancing during playtime. STAY HOME to slow the spread, help first responders, and our vulnerable.

Driveway to “Drive Away” Coronavirus? While outside for fresh air or exercise, consider keeping a driveway’s distance between you and anybody you encounter.

Dear fellow Liberty Landing Community friends and neighbors.Today I started a new sewing project with the purpose of being of some assistance to all of us.

Please note that these will be simple, made from washable, reusable co!on.In no way do I even hint that they meet any kind of safety requirements. They could be useful even forwearing when working outside and in dusty areas for those of us with allergies. My daughter wears this type when she is working outdoors because she has severe allergies. There is no charge for Liberty Landing residents. Dona%ons appreciated to help o&set supplies expensesbut not required.I will be making more tomorrow and as requests are received. If you would like one, please call me at816-289-2242. If I do not answer, please leave a message with your name and phone number and I willcall you back as soon as possible. Since email addresses are not available for everyone, please let otherresidents know about my o&er.Please also note that I am mostly using fabric pieces that I had le0 from making the aprons andmicrowave cozies sets for a future community cra0 sale so the pa!erns of other masks may not beanything like this sample.Stay well and take care of yourselfKaren Gardner816-289-2242

Nope...They don’t breakdown. Our sewers are being heavily used during this time. Please Do Not Flush Disinfecting, Cleaning, or “Flushable” Wipes.

Unlike toilet paper, wipes do not break down, so they easily clog sewers. Sewer backups from misuse are a preventable disruption and expense.

Only human waste and toilet paper should be flushed.
