From the BBA Prayer Ministry Team Leader I sent out a devotion a few days ago, part of it was as follows: “Faith is the foot of the soul by which it can march along the road of the commandments. Love can make the feet move more swiftly; but faith is the foot which carries the soul. Faith is the oil enabling the wheels of holy devotion and of earnest piety to move well; and without faith the wheels are taken from the chariot, and we drag heavily. With faith I can do all things; without faith I shall neither have the inclination nor the power to do anything in the service of God. If you would find the men who serve God the best, you must look for the men of the most faith. Little faith will save a man, but little faith cannot do great things for God.” The purpose of faith is to remove mountains. Jesus' teaching says, "Have faith in God...[and then] say unto this mountain, Be thou removed." Mountains represent the immovable, the impossible. It is something almost too steep to climb, almost too high to cross, almost too awesome to see beyond. This is the reason Jesus discussed prayer and communion along with faith. One learns to have faith in God as He prays and communes with God. And the more he prays and communes with God the more he will know God; and the more he knows God, the more he can experience faith in God and experience the removal of mountains that slow his progress through life. I know that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, but somewhere in there, prayer is essential. May each of us as a part of the BBA, pray and have Great Faith to see mountains removed in our lives, in our churches and in this association so that the lost can be saved and the needs of others be met. Get on God’s wave, pray, witness, minister for the glory of our Master. In His Grip, Bro. Anthony From the Desk of the DOM One of my favorite comedians is a guy named Tim Hawkins. His walk with the Lord is evident in his comedy routines. As you might expect, his awareness of our warts is also obvious. For instance, Hawkins gets me when he talks about asking God’s blessing on the food we eat. He jokes that maybe we should be realistic and just ask God to “change the molecular structure” of the Cheetos we are eating into something healthy, like a carrot. Ouch! When I think about that it makes it difficult for me to eat any kind of cheese puffs! While Hawkins is just kidding around, he makes a valid point for us to consider. Is it possible that we ask God to work in a certain way while, at the same time, our actions don’t really support our desire for Him to do so? For instance, do we pray for God to make us fruitful followers of Jesus and yet never mention lost people in general, much less specifically? Or perhaps we pray for God to bring people to the church and yet never do anything to actually reach out to them? Do you see what I mean? It doesn’t make any sense. Let’s determine right here right now to do better, both personally and corporately. Let’s commit to make our requests and our actions match! I love you all, Tim The Challenger April 2014

Happy Birthday & Happy Anniversary

What’s Going on in Our Churches

I want to thank you all for your prayers for fantastic Spring rains and ask you to keep praying as we start taking reservations for our summer youth program in 2014.

Blue River Fellowship is having a Western Day! It is going to be April 27th. There will be no Sunday School that day but the church service will start at 10:30. WE will have a chuck wagon style lunch. There will be horse and mule rides, a chicken scramble, goat roping, skillet throwing, BB gun shoot, best dressed contest, and other activities. It is an all-day event and everyone should dress western. If you have to be at your home church that morning, please come and enjoy the afternoon activities.

Franklin Graham wrote: "We started off the year by airlifting a

special delivery of 65,000 Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts to Syrian children living in refugee camps in northern Iraq." Also, shoeboxes were sent to kids in the Philippines who suffered devastating losses because of horrible weather conditions. Have you begun shopping for this year's shoeboxes? Every time you're in a store, be watchful for durable items such as underwear, socks, T-shirts. (Not toothpaste, soap, or candy yet.) Why not set a goal and start working toward it? Entire families may become Christians when a child takes the Bible studies and receives a New Testament in his/her language. The 2014 goal for BBA is 2,500!

Roberta Baptist Church invites you to Revival Services April 6 - 9. Different preacher each night: Sunday a.m. Charles Loyd, p.m.- Jackie Robinson, Monday - Darel Bunch, Tuesday - Kerry Groce, Wedneday - Greg Thralls. On March 30th a.m. and p.m. services, Tommy Green will preach a pre-revival message. Sunday evening starts at 6: p.m. and other evenings will start at 7:00 p.m.

Achille First Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a

bi-vocational pastor. Please call Stephen or Rena

Duncan for more information 580-283-3063.
