1000 Steps HikeMarch 17

Fourteen people signed up to test their agility and endurance against the mighty “1000(+) steps”. It was nice to see new members sign up and attend the hike. It was a perfect day (more like a day in June) for a hike. Even though there were a variety of personal hiking paces, some chose to stop and enjoy the scenery while others tested their endurance by trudging to the top of the peak. Everyone made it back down to the bottom of the steps safely, albeit with some wobbly knees and screaming muscles! The best part was that everyone hiked at their own pace and enjoyed the day, so don’t stay home just because you don’t think you will be able to keep up. Come enjoy the great outdoors!

Blue Knob End of Season Ski / Beer Goddess ParadeMarch 10

The conditions in the morning were good and there were many great costumes in the parade. Our own Sherry Wechs won second place for her shaggy dog costume. There was plenty of good food and drink at the after parties.

The Last Sunday Afternoon Skiing at Blue Knob for the SeasonMarch 4

Last chance to ski with the group before storing the skis for the season. Now it’s time to get out the hiking boots for some spring-time fun.
