Christ is Risen and Life Reigns Victorious!
My friends,
Thank you for joining us on this Joyous Easter Day. I pray that the conviction of God’s love for you may take possession of your heart — and that the Resurrection of Jesus be a wellspring of hope that you return to again and again throughout this Season and beyond.
St. John Chrysostom in his moving Easter Homily describes the power of this mystery: "O Death, where is your sting? O Hell, where is your victory? Christ is risen, and you are overthrown. Christ is risen, and the demons are fallen. Christ is risen, and the angels rejoice. Christ is risen, and life reigns. Christ is risen, and not one dead remains in the grave. For Christ, being risen from the dead, is become the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep."
And our Good Pope Francis challenges us with these words: "The Gospel of Easter is very clear: we need to go back there, to see Jesus risen, and to become witnesses of his Resurrection. This is not to go back in time; it is not a kind of nostalgia. It is returning to our first love, in order to receive the fire which Jesus has kindled in the world and to bring that fire to all people, to the very ends of the earth."
May God’s freedom and blessing be upon you and all those your love - for Christ is risen, alleluia, alleluia!
Fr. Scott

Parish Office Schedule for Easter
Parish offices will be closed on Easter Monday. Happy Easter!
Soup Supper Thank You!
We offer a big THANK YOU to the cooks and servers at the Soup Suppers at St. Mary’s Cathedral during Lent. Barbara North and Jeanelle Stepan made the delicious soups from scratch. Helping serve each evening were Gerry Lommel, Deanna Haeg, Linda Yerka, and Jacqueline Kisch. Thank you, ladies, for everything you do for St. Mary’s Cathedral. We appreciate you!
Support our Peru Mission Trip!
What will we do while we're in Peru? The work of the missionaries is based on both loving service and evangelization, so we will spend our mornings doing work projects such as the building of a chapel; visiting the sick, elderly, and handicapped; and assisting in the material needs of the people. In the evenings, our team will travel to nearby pueblos (towns) to celebrate Mass, hold prayer services, and share our testimonies. Since we'll be helping with whatever the missionaries are currently working on, our exact work projects are to be determined. We look forward to assisting the missionaries in their daily life of service! Please keep us in your prayers as we prepare for this trip, and prayerfully consider supporting us financially. We are selling stock to fund our trip, and we would love to pray for you and your intentions when you partner with us as a stockholder! You will also be invited to a stockholder's dinner to be able to share in our experience. Thank you so much for your loving support for us!
Revive Retreat 2018
Need a day to get away and rest? Join us for an annual Revive Retreat put on by the Knights of Columbus 5548! This year's theme is "Making Me New," inspired by the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary, and will include talks by our own Fr. Doug Liebsch and Nikki Walz, Kelli Kleinschnitz, and seminarians Patrick Hoeft and Thomas Skaja! The retreat is on Saturday, April 14, from 8:30 am -5:00 pm at Friendship Ventures in Annandale and costs $25 (or $10 for Knights of Columbus 5548 members). We will end the day with a Sunday Vigil Mass with Fr. Jerry Dalseth. Free bus transportation is available from the Shopko East parking lot in St. Cloud, leaving at 8:00 am. All are welcome! Contact Tricia Walz for more information or to sign up! 320-248-7358.
