Dear Necklecites,
APR - JUN 2019
President Rtn. Kaushik Shah
Life’s blessed moments are those where one can look back at the year gone by with satisfaction and pride. Here I remember a couplet by Tagore...
I slept & Dreampt that Life was a joy. I Awoke & saw that Life was Service. I Acted & behold, Service was joy.
This sums up my journey as President of this prestigious club.
I can’t thank enough the entire team which made this year such a dream come true for me.
We had a Club Assembly which was graced by AG Rtn Gautam Dalal at Indian Summer Banquet Hall.

MRS ARUNDHATI BHATTACHARYA
6th May
Mrs Arundhati Bhattacharya, one of the most powerful persons and Former Chairman of India's largest bank, State Bank of India, shared her life journey and experiences at the Belissima Banquets. She has played an active role in India's Economic Transformation.
She spoke regarding the success of "Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana (PMJDY)" Scheme whose objective is ensuring access to various financial services like availability of basic savings bank account, access to need based credit, remittances facility, insurance and pension to the excluded sections i.e. weaker sections & low income groups. This deep penetration at affordable cost is possible only with effective use of technology. One lakh crore bank accounts were opened in the names of women family members which ensured expense on nutrition, education and medicine. She recollected how banks geared to meet the challenge of demonetisation and talked about its impact.
Demonetization witnessed innovations every day right upto the grass root level. India could do something so large as demonetization was amazing. It was an experience unparalleled... Banks got a lot of liquidity, lending rate went down, digitization got a boost.
