Next Bible Study: We will meet on November 2 and resume after the holidays. This is being enjoyed very much by the group. Attended by 8 people. Blessing of the Pet’s: Beautiful morning for the blessing. Great family event. Next year we are thinking with the school being open we could do this during the school day. If parents cannot bring the pet maybe the children could bring a picture and get the blessing that way. 1. Advent Study: Fr. Eric and Deacon Dave will put on a three week series and it will be done in the church from 7 to 8:30. They will go over why we do what we do during Mass. They will touch on the sacraments. They will do a question and answer. 2. Lenten Study: Dick and Rosalie Hentz bought the series on The Bible and the Virgin Mary. We will do a five week study starting Wednesday March 1, 2017 and ending March 29, 2017 close to Feast of The Annunciation March 25. Additional discussion will take place at future meetings. 3. This was done in conjunction with the school spirit wear sale. A review of items and a future sale will take place. Oktoberfest: At the time of our meeting, we were still waiting on a few invoices for all of the final numbers to come in however it looked as if the year was better than 2015 despite the weather and moving the band to Brodnick Hall. The parking had only a few small issues and will address focusing on having an adult in charge of handicap access next year to ensure all are able to get to mass and the festivities without difficulties. An overall review of the layout may be considered as well. The Knights Pig Roast/Celebrate the Saints Day: A bounce house has been added to encourage families to attend with activities for children. This even takes place on 10/30 after the 11:30 mass. All are invited and encouraged to attend.

A Wine and Canvas event is being researched for Nov/Dec. The cost would be $35 per person for the painting to include all materials. It would be held at St. Timothy’s in Brodnick hall. The Feast of St. Timothy’s Potluck or “Souperbowl” is the plan for January 21st. Ideas include game night, childcare at the parish center if MOPs would like a fundraiser, possibly a Euchre tournament.

Katie Sullivan was made aware of this omission and it would be rectified next year – 2017, 5.
