Editor’s Spotlight on Mr. Nathan Donahue
Teaches: Business Communication and Professional Development -MGT 3453 lab Welcome Nathan Donahue!
Nathan Donahue received his B.A. in Communication Studies and
M.A. in Communication Studies from Texas State University. He
served 2 years as a Graduate Instructor and is now serving his first
year as a Lecturer for the Department of Communication Studies
and the Department of Management.
Mr. Donahue worked in education as well as in customer service
for several years. Recently, he worked in the Behavioral Unit of a
middle school in Comal ISD, assisting students with behavioral and
emotional disabilities in classroom instruction & crisis intervention
strategies. Serving as a Site Controller for the Skycoaster at
Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels, he managed employees in high
stress work environments. This experience coupled with his time
as a Graduate Instructor and as a Communication Lab Technician
has allowed him to take in class concepts and easily apply them in
real world instances, as well as being able to adapt his instruction
to the diverse student population at Texas State.
Mr. Donahue’s interests in workplace communication focus on
workplace bullying and employee termination. He recently
presented research at the Central States Communication
Association 2019 Conference which focused on family
communication, examining the changes as students enter their
first year at Texas State University.
Currently, Mr. Donahue spends his free time greatly focused on
being the Dungeon Master for his Dungeons and Dragons group!
When he’s not busy teaching or slaying dragons, Mr. Donahue
enjoys spending time relaxing with his partner and their Great
Dane, Drogo.
