Innovation is our tradition.
Gustav Klauke was established in 1879 and is today a byword for high-quality electrical connection systems for cutting , crimping and punching tools. Our range comprises more than 10,000 products - mostly available from stock - for professional applicationsin electrical engineering. We also develop, produce and sell custom solutions in connection technology andtools for customers in the energy production, distribution and transformation sectors, automotive industry, transport and rail engineering sectors. We work to customer-specific requirements in full - all over the world.Since 1996 Klauke has belonged to the Greenlee Division of the Textron Group. Greenlee‘s main focus ison punching tools and cable management and therefore complements our own range of products.
Traditional and innovative
Global presence.
Currently, more than 800 employees develop, produce, sell and maintain the Klauke range at ten locationsin Europe full stop after pacific. In North and South America Klauke products are sold via Greenlee. This global sales and distribution network and authorised service centres in more than 50 countries all overthe world keeps us close to our customers.
Recognised internationally
Quality, expertise and innovation. All over the world.

Connection with system - everything perfectly matched
For every connector Klauke has the processing tool to match, with a product line rangingfrom mechanical hand tools through to hydraulic crimping tools to complete machiningsolutions. This is the concept behind the KLAUKE system.

Routine mechanical and electrical tests
•Tensile strength tests to DIN IEC to evaluate the quality of
crimping
•Vibration and salt spray tests
•Electrical loading capability (e.g. IEC test, to determine the
ageing resistance of a connection)
•Customer-specific tests, taking individual applications into account

Our certifications ensure that our customers can always rely on Klaukeproducts and services:
DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 Quality management to define the requirements for a customer-focused andprocess-oriented quality management system.
ISO/TS 16949:2009 ISO/TS 16949 goes further than DIN EN ISO 9001 and is the internationallyrecognised quality standard for the automotive industry.
ISO 14001: 2004 The international environmental management standard prescribes globallyrecognised requirements for environmental management systems. Its focus: continuous improvement process with reference to environmentalperformance.
GL (Germanischer Lloyd) Confirms the suitability of our electrical connecting material for use in shipsand on fixed and mobile oil rigs to DIN EN 61400-1.A special certificate also confirms the particular suitability of our connectingmaterial for use in onshore and offshore wind farms.
DNV (DET NORSKE Veritas) Confirms the suitability of our electrical connecting material for use in shipsand in offshore gas and oil rigs.
CSA (Canadian Standard Association) Certification of the electrical connecting material and tools to UL/CSAstandards.
UL (Underwriters Laboratory) The electrical connecting material and crimping tools are certified to UL/CSAstandards.
IEC certificateThe unique safety level of our products was verified by the internationallyrecognised test standard IEC 61238-1 for our electrical connecting materialand by the internationally recognised standard EC 60745-1 for our battery powered tools.
GS (Geprüfte Sicherheit - tested for safety) The GS safety mark on our crimping and cutting tools is proof of the highestpossible level of safety and quality.
VDE (Verband der Elektrotechnik e.V. - German Electrical EngineeringAssociation)Test and certifies to the electrical safety of tools, chargers and tools for workon live systems.
The Klauke quality standard and modular system concept appliesto every one of our products. This is the reason why it is not just theproducts bearing our brand name that are certified but also those thatwe fabricate for our system providers.
We consistently go one better than the standards demand
Klauke products are used in areas with stringent safety requirements.Their reliability and quality is therefore all the more important. In terms of safety, ease of use and robustness, all Klauke products comply with the highest specifications and perform in excess of the standards required.

Environmental protection and sustainability - for usthere is no other option
The international standard DIN EN ISO 14001 stipulates globally re-cognised standards for environmental management systems. Its main focus is on a continuous improvement process with respect toenvironmental performance.
For us this results in clearly defined goals: Avoid waste and errors, increase efficiency, and the lowest energy consumption possible in every production step. Because we want to preserve raw materials, fossil fuels and the environment for next generations.
