To Qualify for the GS-7 Grade level: Musthave one year (52 weeks) of specializedexperience equivalent to the (GS-5) gradelevel.  Specialized experience is experience inor related to investigations of criminalviolations that provided the specificknowledge, skills and abilities to successfullyperform the duties of the position.  Experienceincludes but not limited to providinginvestigative or inspection support for a lawenforcement organization; assisting with trendanalyses and statistical studies for a law

enforcement organization, and summarizingreports and extracting essential intelligenceinformation to brief superiors.

OR One full year of graduatelevel education in social sciences, businessor public administration, behavioral sciences,and sociology. Course work in fields otherthan those specified may be accepted if itclearly provides applicants with thebackground of knowledge and skillsnecessary for successful job performance inthe position to be filled.  One year of full-timegraduate education is considered to be thenumber of credit hours that the schoolattended has determined to represent 1 yearof full- time study.
