Faculty ABET Graduates Military Veterans Government Employees Teach at least one safety or safety-related course (industrial hygiene, environmental, fire protection, environmental health or ergonomics) in the current or upcoming academic year in a College or University accredited by U.S. Department of Education or Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Graduated within the last three years from a degree program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). Visit abet.org to determine whether your degree is ABET accredited. BCSP offers Application Fee Waivers to faculty, veterans and government officials to show our appreciation for the service and sacrifice these individuals have provided to the community. Recent graduates may also qualify for a waiver to support their pursuit of a safety career. The application fee waiver is non-transferable, one-time use for any of the BCSP certifications - CSP, ASP, OHST, CHST, STS, STSC, or CET. If you have submitted an application or hold the certification, you are no longer eligible for the application fee waiver or a refund. The name verified on your required supporting document(s) must appear the same as on your application. Currently employed by the U.S. Government. Required Documentation: Employment letter on organizational letterhead Required Documentation: Teaching assignment verification with information on course(s), instructional responsibility, and semester/term from department official Required Documentation: Official Transcript Required documentation needs to be submitted in the online application process to redeem the waiver. 12/14 Active Duty, Reserve Component Personnel, or Veterans Required Documentation: A copy of official orders or official discharge papers Examination Fees for the CSP, ASP, OHST, CHST, STS, STSC, and CET may be reimbursed by The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs under various entitlement programs.
