CORRUGATED GAS APPLIANCE CONNECTOR FEATURES & COMPARISON
• Utility Rooms• Pulse Combustion Furnaces (AGAL)
• Rooftop HVAC Units
Working Pressure:
Rated for standard line pressures up to 1/2 PS.1. (max.). Every single connector is100% pressure tested for leaks at the factory before shipment per AGA standard.
,;criplion:An indoor appliance connector for connection of stationary
gas appliances to residential gas piping systems.
Use:
I May be used with natural, manufactured, mixed, liquefied petroleumgases, and LP gas-air mixtures. Developed for use in:• Household Kitchens
I • Laundry Rooms
• Forced Air Heating Units
• Utility Rooms
Malerial Specification:Tubing - Seamless, C2600 brass per ASTM B251 and ASTM B135
with epoxy powder coating.
Nuts & End Fittings - Extruded brass: C36000 per ASTM B16Steel: Bright blue zinc or cadmium plated 12L 14and 10L10.
"erating Temperalure:For indoor use, brass connectors have a temperature rangeof 32°F to 125°F.
Bend-Ability:Uniform corrugation helps avoid collapse of the tube on sharp bends.Brass connectors meet or exceed industry standards for bend and torque
testing without leakage or damage to the tube or fitting.
Description:The strongest, most corrosion resistant appliance connectors of their
type available. For both indoor and outdoor connection of stationarygas appliances.
They are more resistant to crushing, kinking & cracking under normal use
conditions than coated brass, thereby providing for a longer more durableservice life. Check with Brass Craft for a complete listing & further information.
Use:
May be used with natural, manufactured, mixed, liquefied petroleum gases, and LP gas-air mixtures. The added protection of stainless steel is especially useful in areas where the
natural gas has a high sulfur content.Developed for use in:• Household Kitchens
• Laundry Rooms
• Forced Air Heating Units
Malerial Specification:Tubing - Uncoated, Type 304 stainless steel, a standard austeniticstainless steel with a high chromium content. This connectors safe, solid,
one-piece construction has no soldered joints. .
Nuts & End Fittings - Bright blue zinc plated 12L 14 or 1OL10 steel. Fittings
meet 72 hour salt spray test for corrosion resistance. Stainless steel
connectors are provided only with steel flare nuts for durability and safety.
Operating Temperature:For outdoor use, stainless steel connectors have a wider temperature rangefrom -40°F to 150°F.
Bend-Ability:Stainless steel is the strongest appliance connector of its type available andcan withstand even more torque and bend cycles than brass because of the
greater number and depth of corrugations.
o
Tesl Requirements (ANSI):Torsion Tesl- Brass Craft connectors are able to withstand more than 15 applications of 90 degree
twists in alternate directions without leakage or damage to the tubing or fittings.
Bend Tesl- Brass Craft stainless steel connectors are able to withstand more than 70 bends without leakage or damage
to the tubing or fittings. Also, brass connectors are able to withstand more than 30 bends.
Designed and manufactured in accordance with (assembledconnectors):ANSI Z21.24· CGA 6.10 - American National Standard/Canadian Gas
Association standard for connectors for gas appliances.CSA - Design certified by CSA for indoor use.
MEA 370-85 - Approved by City of New York.
Designed and manufactured in accordance wilh (assembled conneclors):ANSI Z21.24 • CGA 6.10 - American National Standard/Canadian Gas
Association standard for connectors for gas appliances.
CSA - Design certified by CSA for indoor and
outdoor use. (CSA-US 3-87)AGAL Contract No. 8204. Tested and accepted by American Gas Association
Laboratories for Vibration Resistance to 25 years.
Specified by many gas utilities and local code bodies.
*AGA (American Gas Association), CGA (Canadian Gas Association) and IAS (International Approval Services) are trademarks of CSA International.
'nd CGA were merged into lAS, which was subsequently purchased by CSA.
