Central Jersey APICS… Presents:
Why Change? Rick Cathers of MicroCraft, The Knowledge Company
In our departments, companies, or even families, if we're given the choice of work- ing with a system that is obviously broken or changing to a new way of doing things that resolves the problem, we'll chose to live with the devil we know rather than venture into the unknown.
Resistance to making the change will include denying that the problem exists; proving that the new process will not work; attack-ing the motivations of the people promoting the change. Moreover, if we are forced to make the change, we will silently work to insure that the new process fails so we can go back to the old way of doing things.
With all this resistance to change, why do we even bother to start?
This interactive, hands-on presentation will give you new techniques to address all of the obstacles in your path to making need-ed changes happen in your professional and personal groups. You will see a proven way to identify what the actual problem is that needs to be resolved. How to get the people who are directly affected by the change to be your biggest cheerleaders for the new way of doing things. And, once you've made the change, prevent sliding back into the old way of doing things.
You will learn how to:
Identify what needs to be changed
Turn skeptics into cheerleaders
Make the change stick
Take-Away’s:
How, When and Where to begin
Who should lead and how
How to maintain the commitment
Who should attend?

Executive Message:
Leadership Is Behavior, Not a Position! Leaders are the ones who take responsibility for making decisions and bringing change to business. Leaders are the ones who empower people to discover their potential. People are the ones to choose their leader and how will they do that? They will judge by behavior, attitude and actions. To be an influential leader, Instead of telling your team members what to do, show it to them by your own example. If you want to be an authentic leader, you should have your unique contribution to the welfare of the society because Leadership is Chasing Vision, Not for your monetary gains.
APICS Central Jersey Chapter’s monthly meetings and education programs help shape tomorrow’s leaders. Employers and employees in NJ improve their understanding of Business, SCM Processes, techniques and latest technological tools through these events and classes. We are currently conducting many public and private classes and we can also deliver the same education or a custom version directly to your facility if that better suits your needs. Visit us at http://www.apics-cjer.org/upcoming-events/education-calendar.html for upcoming edu-cation program details.
We are also welcoming volunteers to participate in our chapter activities and board. http://www.apics-cjer.org/upcoming-events/pdm-meetings.html
Look forward to seeing everyone…
