    1 What is AhnLab Policy Center (APC 4.0)?APC 4.0 is a central management solution that manages AhnLabs client/server security products, AhnLab

    V3 Internet Security 8.0 and AhnLab V3Net for Windows Server 7.0.

    APC 4.0 can control all PCs within a company and effectively address probable security threats by providingvarious features. For example, it provides the following features:

    - Security product management according to the company security policies- Proactive defense that prevents spread of virus- Desktop management: asset management and remote support

    APC 4.0 is easy to manage due to the UX (User eXperience) design, which is created based on the

    administration environment and user analysis.

    2 What is new in APC 4.0?APC 4.0 has drastically enhanced data reliability and user convenience compared with existing products. In

    addition to management of client/server security products, APC 4.0 provides proactive defense and

    emergency security alert services. Also, desktop management enables prompt response to any emergency

    situations.

    In particular, the monitor center provides various

    information that enables the administrators to view the

    overall security status of the company. For example,

    information on agent installation, security product

    installation, engine update and the Top 5 malicious

    codes can be viewed at the monitor center.

    Moreover, it is designed to check the details and

    execute commands right after detecting a problem, so

    troubleshooting is fast and easy.

    8 When will the sales and service support for APC 3.0 products close? APC 3.0 Sales Closing Date: To be determined APC 3.0 Service Support Period: To be determined

    Sales Period: The period during when a user can purchase a new product or renew the subscription for

    the product(i.e. period until the sales closing date).

    Service Support Period: The period during when patch files, hotfixes, etc. for the purchased product can be

    provided(i.e. period until the service closing date). New features (including UI

    changes) are not additionally provided during this period.

    9 What is the policy for upgrading to APC 4.0?Upgrade to APC 4.0 will be provided free of charge for the existing APC users during the license period.

    However, if the license period expires, it shall be upgraded at the renewal price of APC 4.0.

    the existing APC product ID.

    10 We are using APC 3.0 and the license period is still valid. Do we have to pay extramoney for upgrading to APC 4.0?

    If you are using APC 3.0 and the license period is still valid, a free upgrade will be provided according to the

    APC 4.0 upgrade policy.

    11 What are the benefits of the APC 4.0 release promotion?The promotion plan will vary depending on each partner. Please contact the AhnLab for more details.

    12 We are using V3 and APC products. Can you offer any benefits if we renew APC 4.0during the promotion period?

    Please prepare and send us an Evaluation PO and Agreement for Evaluation for test installation. Then, we

    will be able to provide a test version and technical support for installation.

    The test license provided for the test is different from those provided when you make an actual purchase of

    the product. When you actually purchase the product, a new license will be issued and a formal master will

    be provided, so when installing the full version, you should delete the test version.

    15 Where do I have to contact for technical inquiries after installing APC 4.0?Technical service will be provided by AhnLabs local partners and AhnLab headquarters.

    16 Do I have to renew the subscription for the APC product?You have to annually renew the subscription in order to continue using the management functions of the APC

    product.

    Due to the characteristics of management software, APC product needs sustainable product patches and

    appropriate technical support in order to function properly. To maintain an optimal management status for the

    PCs and security products installed in the clients and servers, APC product also needs to be maintained up-to-

    date.
