President’s MessageIt’s so hard to believe that a year has passed.
From the day that I attended my first AORNmeeting at the Houston Chapter, I wondered ifthat was something that I would ever be able toaccomplish. I cannot tell you what a privilege ithas been to represent this chapter for the pastyear. I thank you for bestowing that privilege on me. As I look back over the goalsthat we sat at the beginning of the year, I think we have done pretty well. Due tothe wonderful board members and committee chairs and members we have beenable to accomplish those things we sat out to do.
I would ask that we give the same wonderful support to our incoming PresidentVeronika and her new board. Veronika has wonderful ideas and has done afantastic job as President-elect. This will be a very exciting upcoming year.
I hope everyone has a great summer. Please take this time for yourself and returnto AORN in the fall fully refreshed and ready for another great year. I know thatthere are exciting times ahead. Our chapter just seems to get better and better.
Sincerely,
Becky Chalupa, RN, MS, CNORPresident
