President’s Letter
Brothers; This year on October 26th we’ll hold our Crab Derby at Division 61; again this year we will be at our own facility. We race live crabs and serve all the crabs you can eat, this is our major club fundraiser so don’t miss it. Just a reminder, your guests (non-members) are welcome at the club, please remember to sign them in at the front door and introduce them to the bartender. Our Bi-Annual Officers nomination will be at our November meeting, you must be a member in good standing (dues paid) to nominate a candidate or accept a nomination. On Sunday October 19th, Division 22 will hold a Major Degrees of the Order Ceremony. All non-degreed members are encouraged to obtain their degrees. Anyone interested in becoming an of-ficer is required to be Degreed; this is also a great opportunity to learn more about our Order, Faith and Irish Heritage. Hopefully, we will see each other at the next meeting on October 3rd, as always; I may be reached at 215-920-0910 or [email protected] with any questions or concerns. Yours in our motto, Jack

CRAB NIGHT Mark your calendars? Our 18th annual crab night is set for Saturday, October 25th, 2014 at AOH Division 61. The proceeds from our Crab Derby help offs et the cost of re-pairs at our club and even more impor-tantly helps keep the beer cold! This is the only fundraiser we do to benefit our home and we are working hard to make this our best night ever. For the benefit of our new members or for those of you have not attended one of our crab nights before we feature all-you-can-eat crabs, beer, wine and soda as well as Hot Roast Beef, homemade salads and a sweet table. In addition, we pre-sent five live crab races that you can bet on (like Night at the Races) as well as other games of chance for your entertainment. In order to make this night a success, we need you help and par-ticipation. Obviously, we would like to have you come out and bring some friends. This cost of a ticket is $30 in advance and $40 at the door. Another way you can participate is by helping to “sell” races. Similar to out Night at the Races, you can “buy” one of our racing crabs for $5 and name it whatever you place (within rea-son-we are a Catholic organization). If you’re crab wins the race, you win $25! For more information or to volunteer contact Bob Cummings at 267-226-7369
