Thank you in advance to all the teachers who help make this a special gathering. I look forward to marking the Winter solstice. Reminder Primary school children finish at 12:35pm and return to their classroom with parents at 4:30pm this Friday. LAST DAY TERM 2

Liam DeerClass 12 Graduates

Hi, I’m Liam. I joined this class in Year Two so I’ve attended the school for 10 years. One of the best experiences and memories I’ve had at Mount Barker Waldorf would definitely have to be the camps. My favourite ones would have to be the Camel Trek in Year 7, Surveying in the Flinders in Year 10, Tasmania in Year 11, Scuba Camp at Yorkes in Year 12.My Year 12 Project is all about sculpting and carving wood. I am researching the effects that sculptures have on people and how wooden sculpture has evolved through history. I have started two of the four sculpting and carving projects I am planning on for my year 12 Project which means I am halfway to achieving my goal. I am also planning to create at least one sculpture for the school. I would like to bring the community together to create one big sculpture as a part of the community aspect of my project. I would like to see something unfold which involves more than one person. I am excited to see what transpires from so many people contributing!

Class 12 participated in a collaborative, team-building program at Tree Climb Adelaide. The course encouraged the students to be self-directed, supportive and help others in the group. Our students were required to be in touch with their brave and courageous self as they climbed the tree tops and leapt off platforms onto the flying fox. It was a fabulous way to put aside Year 12 pressures and laugh, and maybe even squeal, together.
