WHY APPRENTICESH IPS?

The talent gap is a national crisis that threatens America’s competitive edge. Applying the age-old practice of apprenticeships can serve to renew the purpose of America’s higher education and training systems—systems that have become dated and leave American youth saddled with debt, and deficient in the critical skills necessary for today’s emerging economy.

Expanding the U.S. apprenticeship program in existing industries, as well as developing programs in non-traditional industries such as IT, Healthcare, Advanced Manufacturing, and Professional Services, can help fill this gap.

WHAT MAKES FRANKLIN APPRENTICSH IPS UNIQUE?

The United States is drastically behind in adoption of a modernized Apprenticeship model. Franklin Apprenticeships is the first consulting and capacity building firm in the US marketplace dedicated to fast tracking and growing a new Apprenticeship Movement.

By leveraging and enhancing best practices from the UK and other countries, Franklin Apprenticeships is building a US specific nascent apprenticeship industry that will help to solve America’s 21st Century workforce crisis.

“We believe apprenticeships will be a significant solution to the IT industry’s workforce challenges. Apprenticeships also provide a meaningful and scalable vehicle to create greater economic mobility and bring under-represented populations into our industry, which is important to CompTIA. Franklin Apprenticeships’ solution of modernizing American apprenticeships to regain America’s competitive edge and their experience and expertise in developing and delivering successful apprenticeship programs makes them the perfect partner with which to explore the opportunities of tech apprenticeships.”

— Charles Eaton, EVP, Social Innovation, CompTIA

Modernizing American Apprenticeships • Unlock the Potential

“Apprenticeships are a great opportunity for career seekers, particularly disadvantaged job seekers or youth just starting out. They do not provide simply a map of the employment pathway, but rather a well-built, well-lit roadway to a sustainable career. We are excited to be combining our experience in workforce development with Franklin Apprenticeships’ track record of introducing the apprenticeship model to support non-traditional fields. The result is a solution that provides employers and job seekers with the advantages of apprenticeships in every sector of the U.S. economy.”

— Michael Bolton, Vice President of Human Services, MAXIMUS
