Our Principal• Our Principal Ms A Saha has received the CBSE Award for being the Teacher of the Year in 2015• She was felicitated in New Delhi by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. She also won a cash prize of Rs 50,000.• She also got the Aparajita award on 8th
March 2016 and Sanmarg award for her contribution to education.•She received ‘The Jewel of Bengal’award by IIHM 2019.

• We have a theme every year. This year our theme is ‘Celebrating Diversity’.• We will be incorporating this theme throughout the year in the various activities, assemblies and projects.
THE THEME OF THE YEAR:
DIARY• School rules and regulations must be read.• Refer to the Planner.• Diary must be signed regularly.• Update “Books Read” and“ Events Participated In”
pages.• Fill up the first two pages of the diary and the “Health
Card”.• The name and signature of the escort must be there.• Infirmary Record – Check and sign.
PUNCTUALITY
• Children must be in school by 8:25 a.m.
• School gates will close at 8:30 a.m.
• Two days late in a month will be recorded in the diary.
• Third day late in a month – child shall be sent back home after parent call.
ABSENCE• 75% attendance is compulsory.
• “Leave Record” page should be filled in for less than 3 days of absence.
• More than 3 days -A letter to be written on an A4 size paper and to be submitted in an envelope. For a sick leave medical certificate must be attached with the letter.
• In case a student has been absent for three days or more a Fitness Certificate must be submitted on the day of joining failing which he/ she will be sent back home.
• All correspondence to be addressed to the Vice Principal.
• Medical certificate must have a covering letter. Medical prescriptions are not accepted.
• Leave is not granted for social functions and vacations.
DO’S and DON’TS• Boys look smart with short hair so their hair should be
trimmed regularly.
• Nails should be neatly clipped and cleaned.
• Only black hair bands and clips allowed for girls.
• Girls’ hair must be tied in two pig-tails or pony-tails.
• Nail polish or mehendi is not allowed.
• Do not send money unless asked for.
• All stationery, uniform, tiffin box, water bottles to be labelled.
DO’S AND DON’TS• Coloured clothes cannot be worn on birthdays.
• Gifts for classmates and teachers should not exceed rupees twenty.
• Make-up is not allowed.
• Girls can wear small studs as earrings.
• Books should be brought according to the timetable. All NCERT books, Atlas, Dictionary and Mental Math books must be kept in school.
• Use of slang and abusive language and bullying are forbidden.
• T.V. viewing or internet surfing should be monitored at home.

• Things cannot be sent, after 8:30 a.m., not even tiffin.
• Children must speak in English in the school premises except during Vernacular class.
• Encourage reading.• Please send healthy, dry tiffin along with a
napkin.
DO’S AND DON’TS• School office should be intimated regarding
change of address and phone number through the class teacher, in writing.
• Please do not send your child when unwell.• Morning breakfast is NOT JUST MILK.• Any note from the teacher should be
seriously considered.
Academics – Term I• The school year comprises two terms.• Two periodical tests of 20 marks each (2/3 chapters)
– P1 and P2 will be held in Term I. • Surprise tests will be held in every subject to check
absenteeism.• Notebook – 5 marks (will include surprise test marks,
content, presentation, correction)• Subject Enrichment Activities – 5 marks• Total – 50 marks
Academics – Term II• P3 (3 chapters including 1 chapter from Term I) – 20
marks to be scaled down to 10 marks.• Unit (4 chapters including 1 chapter from Term I)– 30
marks.• Notebook – 5 marks ( including surprise tests).• Project – 5 marks.• Total – 50 marks• The final report card will be a cumulative score of
Term I and Term II.
•P3 (3 chapters including 1 chapter from Term I) – 20 marks to
be scaled down to 10 marks.
• Block Test (4 chapters including 1 chapter from Term I) – 40
marks (double to 80 marks).
• Notebook – 5 marks. (including surprise tests)
• Project – 5 marks
•Total – 100 marks
• The final report card will be a cumulative score of Term I and
Term II.

• Lower Bengali
• Lower Hindi
• French
• German
Please note• The syllabi for Mathematics and Language( English and
Vernacular) Periodical and Block Tests consists of all that has been taught.
• If a student is absent the day before a Periodical (-2) marks will be deducted from that particular periodical.
• Student absent for a Periodical Test will be marked ABSENT.
• Student absent for Block Test is allowed to sit for a retest.• No modified papers will be provided for any of the
Periodicals.

MINDSPARKA computer based online self- learning tool, Mindspark enhances students'
understanding of Math through games, puzzles and activities.
COMMUNITY CONNECTLittle Angels, a school for the underpriviledged children
has been adopted by our senior girls.
Spriha is an initiative taken by the students of the Interact Club to teach stitching to the mothers of these children so that they become independent.
We also have our Krida Kunj and music teachers coaching the children of Park Junior. NGOs like Ektara and CSP are also a part of our Outreach projects.
