AbUT Cb CBO is a formally constituted, community led, charitable organisation, committed to the alleviation of disadvantage, inequality and deprivation through a targeted range of services to the communities of Sandwell and with a particular focus upon the Bangladeshi & the BME community. Established in 1985, CBO has continued to evolve and emerge as a respected and prominent organisation – providing an umbrella structure embracing over fourteen community groups covering Sandwell wide. CBO is now one of the most thriving third sector organisations with over 4,500 residents registered as a beneficiaries, twenty-eight community development staff and activists, two service level agreements, three years comprehensive strategic and operational plans, and three dedicated resource centres. Most importantly, public sector stakeholders recognise CBO as a major community based partner in reversing the disadvantage that our communities experience today. Our Programmes and projects include;
